Hello VG,
You have not written if it was with gravy or without gravy.
If it is dry chicken, just remove chicken pieces, give a mild once over wash with water or add two to three spoons of Ghee if you do not want to wash.
You can also think of making extra gravy with ususal onion and Tomato or Kheema paste.
If gravy is too hot, just remove half of the gravy and add butter .
This trick is unfailing.

Hi VG,
grind 1/2 a cup fresh grated coconut add to it.Adding 1 big tomato also reduces the hotness of the curry.I think it will work out...
thanks
Devi.

How to correct the mistake?
You can tell your husband that the mother-in-law added the extra chilly powder and you were just watching some TV serial.

Adding yogurt will help? You can give a new name to the chicken curry then!
