  some of your words are fire-brand! it amply says, how upset u r on this.
  
  i have also seen deaths for love. i was beside a dying girl.. who unnecessarily died for an unworthy guy. we all can love love, but must learn to hate its extremes. yeah, what those young people did was a mistake.
  
  when we come to the other side of this issue, there's enough CrPC to punish those 'perusugal'. We call it 'culpable homicide' in law. But, u see.. it's difficult to practise.
  
  friends must play a positive role in such situations. proper guidance and counsel could have stopped that tragedy, i am sure.

  You are totally right in saying im DAMN upset about the whole thing. im upset about two things here: ONE ; PERUSUGALIN PIDIVAATHAM ( vAATHA NHOI)
  TWO; SIRUSUGHALIN PIDIVAATHAM ( MANA NHOI). Two same extremes in two different group of generation.

  Very sorry bout the real life scenario.
  
  It sure upsets us to the core, if the person happens to eb closely related or acquainted with us. I remember my school mate who committed suicide cause, for more or less same problem.

  Elders ( I very strongly support malligai plz refrain from endearing elders as perusugal) konjam pidivatham thavirkanam.
  
  If they have reasons like pracitical difficulty, financial probs or so, atleast its justifiable. Sheer difference in caste or religion is not a reason in it self.
  
  One must realise, all those who had love marriage are not successful when ti comes to practical giving and taking and adjusting in life. There are hella lot of probs iwth diff caste oriented marriages. Though ppl are comparitively wide in their perspectives these days, these points cannot be totally forgone.
  
  The solution is , for the parents to think
  
  1. If thats what ultimately would keep them happy, let them try it.
  2. Help them out to the maximum possible extent like how one would, in arranged marriages.
