The scientists say that the effect of the current research of human genes is the possibility of increasing the average age of humans to beyond 1200 years. Now in this background one may have to accept the age of hindu legendary gods and kings as stated in the legends to be true

I shudder to think of humans with current attitudes living centuries.
I do not think the greatness of hindu legendary figures derives from their longevity; it is from the great values they upheld.
We have missiles that have a reach of thousands of miles with unthinkable capacity for destruction. We have set foot on moon etc.
So physical achievments keep rising. But we see a decline in spiritual values.
I feel that it is disrespecting the characters by emphasizing their physical attributes over moral values.

Genomics is an intrusion into the secrets of life.I believe this signals oncoming destruction.
