A TRUTH ABOUT CASTE-BASED-RESERVATION

While all countries are proceeding into the 21st century, India goes back to the 19th century because of this.

My neighbour in India works ate the Secretariat in Madras as a Deputy Secy ( Non- IAS). He belongs to the SC category. His son got 80% for Engineering and 82% for Med and he is in Medical school in Madras. His fees (college, exam, hostel-mess) are all paid by TAX-PAYER's money. All fine OK. They own this 3 storeyed house with 6 bedrooms , etc, etc here and are really wealthy.

Now, the priest at th elocal temple (a famous temple in our town) has a son who studied in the same class as this boy. Actually they were good friends. I knew both of them. Nice boys totally unspoiled by the political life in India. This guy lives in a small house ( given to their family by the kings of the 1850s and passed down - boodhanam). It has just 2 rooms - one living room + kitchen + dining room, one small bedroom. A total of 7 priests live there and they all have similar houses and a common bathroom. They take bath in the temple lake (theppakulam). This boy got 93% for Med, 95% for Eng and stil did not get into Medicine. Eng - he got in a self-administered college only and as the fee was so high there , he did not join. He is doing B.Sc Physics in a local college.

Now tell, WHat is the caste- based reservation doing in India.
BJP's agenda is right. Reservation SHOULD NOT BE CASTE-BASED. IT SHOULD BE SOCIO-ECONOMIC BASED.
Devi Lal also supported this and that's why he was sidelined by VPS and other suc##king Janata Dal members.

I , though benefited by reservation, would say, my children DO NOT DESERVE IT as they have enough money to learn. THE AMERICAN WAY OF EDUCATION IS THE BEST. If UR poor, the Govt gives money to you learn. But you need to learn BY YOURSELF.

  Dear unni.
  You seem to be a person born with a silver spoon and no knowledge of how people make their living in the past and present.
  Lets come to your first concern, I inteligent after getting 95% did not get his medical seat.
  I are the community who hasn't experianced any hardships over many centuries unlike our dalit and backward communities. As survival was very hard for them and joining forces with our bramins the occupying forces made life miserable for b.cs and dalits are never given any little of human cosideration. They never had the chance of education under those brutal rulers and their brahmin advisors.
  Now after independence to distribute power and bring local component in the administration they need people of the local orgin. For them reservation is important other wise there will be nochange and it would have been the same as the kings rule.
  The economy with them, power with them all others has to live at their mercy, so don't be too pity about them still they are the richest community in India with Just 4% of them ruling the rest with creating divisions among people.
  Brahmins have good medical professionals and they sound technically but dedication to the service of the poor is criminaaly low and they care of nothing about shudra patients. this is no there with the missionary hospitals which are run by shudras or bc. they justify their profession.
  So let there be some backward doctors to serve backwards

  you r not aware about the problem of reserved category, ur that statement show that u r criticising both the govt. and paticular category.
  nobody can give a authority to critcising by saying that badly world curse on india.
  u should be polite.
  it's not a curse , it's a way to give oppotunity for poor families.
