Gorla Murali, a scheduled caste youth, has achieved the unique distinction of becoming an 'archaka' at Sri Chennakesava Swamy Temple in Kurnool district.
The 20-year-old youth of the Budhawarpeta locality of the town completed the archaka course offered by the Tirumala-Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD). He began offering daily poojas at Sri Chennakesava Swamy Temple in his colony, where no regular 'archaka' was willing to go. Murali, had applied for the course when the TTD officer working at the TTD Kalyanamandapam, visited the Budhawarpeta locality and asked the locals to send a boy for the course. Murali was selected among the 130 students from all over the state and was trained for two months at Tirumala in priesthood.
Speaking to The Times of India, Murali said that he did a specialised course in 'sthothrams' of Lord Venkateswara Suprabhatha Seva' and archana of the God.

There are numerous examples like this. If someone is really interested they can become archaka.
So, in this regard may I request the dalistan.org, to stop the caste based tirade and report something better for the country.

Title: VHP has dalit ordained as priest in Kerala
Author: UNI
The Publication: Rediff on the Net
Date: February 19, 1999
Marking a rare moment in the social
renaissance of Kerala, a 60-year-old dalit was made a priest after several decades, when T K Subramanian was given 'Sanyasa Deeksha' yesterday.
At the end the of ten-hour long traditional rituals performed amidst the chanting of hymns, which started at Brahma Muhurtam, Subramanian -- a member of Pulaya community -- became Swami Visudhananda after receiving Deeksha from Guru Nishkanandapuri, chief of Sri
Ramakrishna Mission at Ammankatakara in Pathanamthitta district.
The event, held under the aegis of Vishwa Hindu
Parishad, assumed much significance as he was the first member of Pulaya community to be ordained as priest and the first from any Scheduled Caste or Tribe, after the time of Sree Narayana Guru.
Subramanian, son of K.Pengan from Irinjalakuda in Thrissur district, was working as a telecom employee
before coming into contact with the Mission. He
completed his degree from Christ College, Irinjalakuda, in 1964 and worked in the telecom department till 1996.
He recalled his visit to Poonkunnam Sri Ramakrishna Ashram as a turning point in his life. He later stayed in the ashram as a paying guest.

If one has really seen India, they can easily find many brahmins at present practising sudra dharma.
You can find brahmins who are hair cutters, shoe cleaners, potters and domestic workers & etc..

I was forced to drink urine: Dalit
By ChennaiOnline News Service
Madurai, Sept 14: A Dalit farm labourer was allegedly tortured and asked to drink urine following a land dispute between him and a caste Hindu at Kavundanpatti, near Nilakottai, in Tamil Nadu’s Dindigul district, September 7.
According to a complaint lodged by Dalit labourer Sangan, who was working in the estate of Ashokan for the past 30 years, he was asked to get out of the estate recently.
The estate owner had orally promised to sell 1.5 acres to Sangan and three of his brothers, and had deducted the money in instalments from the wages to be paid to Sangan for the past 30 years. Sangan and his brothers were occupying the land.
The complaint said Ashokan had divided the land, which Sangan was occupying, into 11 plots and had sold them. While the buyers of 10 of the plots had vacated the plots after a dispute with Ashokan, Kannan continued to occupy the 11th plot and there were frequent quarrels between Kannan and Sangan.
Sangan alleged that Kannan and six others took him to a lonely spot on September 7 and beat him up. Later, they asked him to drink urine, Sangan said.
Police said they were investigating the case. They said there was no documentary evidence for the sale of land to Sangan. (Agencies)

If all indians read their own scriptures, surely you will realise " NOBODY IS BORN BRAHMIN OR DALIT"its the action and thought. Our ancestors will be displeased at this turn in the concept of caste system.
Nobody reads scriptures as its boring or its aryan or that somebody said so.
Arundathi, wife of Sage Vasishta was dalit. Sage Vishwamitra was Kshatriya, to start with. There are innumerable instances and anecdotes about so called caste system . In most of the smrithis The name brahman does not mean caste but the spirit in us, our soul .
Why is there a hate amonst us. Its the ignorance that is causing this confusion.
I think at this juncture there are many dalits who are
doctors, astrologers and scientists so by definition they are brahmins.
armed forces or police---kshatriyas
shop keepers---Vaisyas
There are brahmins who are
selling goods---Vaisyas they are by definition.
working as manual labourers ----dalits

Hi Shane,
Recently I visited Bali in indonesia a beautiful Island famous for Hindusim.. they have only four caste but only for performing functions and some even do all sort of business ....They even practice ancient hindusim of offering meat to all gods.. like some South Indian temples..for Balinese Kurushetra is is the most punnyashetra than Varnasi or others.. they also slaughter buffaloes as offering in temples.. all resemble very old tradition...everyhouse has its won temple..
Now on your remark:" NOBODY IS BORN BRAHMIN OR DALIT"its the action and thought.
I agree that Indians area mostly Dravidians with some Aryan interbreeding and most brahmins have less than 25% genes dreived from Aryan males...
When you say "no body is born brahmin" then how come you interpret the rig veds which says (mythological!!!) dalits born from leg and so on..
This is one issue Hindusim has to disown vedic literature.. amny vedic verses are not really divine nor robust...its spend lot on war againt aryans and dravidians and so on.

The one by whom all things here were made moving; the one who put in hiding the lowly Dasa color; the one who, like a gambler who has won the stake, has taken the enemy's possessions: he, O people, is Indra.
The one who is the terrible one, about whom they ask "Where is he?" and they say of him, "He is not!" He diminished the enemy's possessions like stakes [at a game]. Put your faith in him: he, O people, is Indra.
His mouth was the Brahman [caste], his arms were the Rajanaya [Ksatriya caste], his thighs the Vaisya [caste]; from his feet the Sudra [caste] was born.
Need further investigation

Indians need to grow up and accept all Indians as equals. Indians will be the cause of their own downfall if Indians do not wake up from their sleep and fight this ugly scourge of the caste system. Hindus must take the lead in fighting this scourge for true acceptance of Dalits to occur.
