When malayalam's top director Fazil is coming with a film there is no point in asking whether it will become a hit / not. The relevent qn will be How many box office records it will set ??? Fazil, who is capable of creating long running films , what i feel can challenge the record set by "GodFather".


Fazil this time in the box office is betting with Mohan Lal, along with him is Mukesh & Nayantara.

  Are u saying that "jalotsavam " is in the category of "vellinakshatram", "ammakillikoodu", "mullavaliyum .." etc. If your answer is "Yes" - i will agree to what ever u told.
  
  There can be similarities in the execution phase(actors) of "jalotsavam", but to say the soul of "jalotsavam" is created by sibi.
  
  In that respect i cannot find a lot of difference with the Fazil film. If u are saying "Fazil film is eligible for vishu release" then i would say that "Jalotsavam" is also eligible .
  
  and abt the form of sibi , i don't think a class director of sibi's calibre needs form :)
  
  "DevaDoothan ", "Ishtam", "Ente veedu .. " are the latest films of sibi. 2 nd one was a commercial sucess and the other two
  have won a lot of critics appreciation. even "Devadoothan" got state award. Still have doubt abt sibi's form :)

  Theaterine poorapparambakki ennonnum parayan pattilla.. In TVM balcony is full..Tht's all.. For all other category,tickets are available very easily..The crowd is less than tht of CBI..
  But even though it is low budget film and also have a limitations like no established actors and all.. So we can conclude tht the film will become Superhit

  "Jalotsavam" irrespective of itz quality, vll go unnoticed in "the clash of the Titans". Itz not even goin 2 b watched as a "Sibi Vs Fazil" clash... As simple as that!!!

  I told u na Balcony seats were fully reserved..
  I dont find the film will be worth for seeing from any other category..But the tickets for Ist class and all other categories are easily available..Dont have half of the crowd of tht of CBI..

  2) (i) Does this project really enthuse you, If so, (ii) Do u think that the millions of cine-goers in Kerala share your enthusiasm?

  Just wanted to add my bit on your disco.... :),
  My understanding of the situation in Malayalam films is that no longer is a film like Jalotsavam going to interest either the trade or the audience... knowing Sibi, it will defenitely be at least a watchable movie... he is a very capable and proven director... but the Kerala audiance no longer are hot about such subjects...
  
  But the downside of Sibi is his incapability to get a suitable script-writer since his split with Lohi... his best films have no doubt come with the Lohi combination...
  
  My take is Jalostsavam wont even hit the screens in the near future... and the Vishu Clash will be restricted to the following films
  1. Adhu Nee Thane
  2. Aparichitan (if it finds buyers... ente vaga oru thamasha irikatte, alle san)
  3. Runway
  4. Chadiyan Chandu
  
  Vellinakshatram wont release as Runway & Vellinakshatram are being distributed by Swargachitra.

  1) Aparichithan - Mammootty's 3rd blockbuster of the year.. (after CBI3 and Vajram) ;)
  
  2) Athu nee thanne - Make or break 4 both Lal and Fazil.. (so, it shud b a HIT)
  
  3) Runway - Yet another make or break game (for both Joshy & Dileep).. or Joshy has 2 pin his hopes on Newdelhi Part II, :)

  Our country has produced world renown actors and directors .. etc Satyajith Ray , Adoorgopalakrishnana , actors like Mammootty...remember he was very close to bag the best actor's award in Osaka festival ... he is counted as one of the best acotrs in the world... he is the most demanded man in the commerical filims too... some charactors such as Sethuramayer are live in this great actor and this type of charactors even withstand the time... his charectors reflect manhood...so do not talk bad about him just because he happend to be a muslim... take the acotr and his talent not his cast
