Lalettan is a blessing for Malayalam cinema.But are we seeing the best in him these days??.We need better characters from this blessed actor.Who are the culprits here?I think the producers and directors are playing it safe by giving him MEESA PIRIKKAL roles.I think its high time Lal recognises his fault and correct it.
Box office will surely be a concern for him.But remember by playing it safe he cannot improve upon his abilities........A Mohanlal Fan

  Smartcritic, thanks for starting such an intelligent thread. For once, someone has spoken the truth- indeed, Lal is the best actor in India-a blessing for Kerala, i agree. I also agree that he is not picking the right movies- THIS is the problem...he needs to do mature roles befitting his age and talent. Just look at the brilliance he showed in Ram Gopal Varma's "Company", a mature, natural role that he excelled in. If he works with a good director and script, he is matchless. I look forward to the Priyadarshan flick with Srinivasan, and the next project with Shaji N. Karun entitled "Gaatha" and also hopefully that long announced Hindi-Malayalam project with director Kumar Shahani, "Sarpam".
