There are many films that are going to be released for Vishu. Which one do you think will be the hit(s).
Chronic Bachelor - Mammotty, Mukesh directed by Siddique, Music by Deepak Dev
Killichundan Mampazham - Mohanlal, Sreenivasan directed by Priyadarshan, Music by Vidyasagar
Thilakkam - Dileep, Kavya Directed by Jayaraj, Music by Kaithapuram Vishwanathan
some more movies are slated for release around that time I think like Gramaphone, Kadha and others and some are already released like:
Mr. Brahmachari - Mohanlal, Jagathi directed by Thulasidas, music by mohan sithara
Kasthuriman - boban kunchacko, meera jasmine, directed by lohithadas, music by ousepachan
and couple of mukesh films

  vince i just get it from indian store along with manorama newspaper ...i think 719 edition the news are new ..but the pic of the magazine cover for 719 might be wrong ..i got tht one last week ..i'll the last weeks magazine today ..so waiting for it ..not only vellinaksthram ,chitrabhoomi,nana,and cinemamangalam i stopped rastradeepika ..reads from their site...

  KCM is getting much less collections nowadays and Thilakkam is getting better collections in all cities.But it is CB which is the number one.Mohanlal is one of the best actors in India ,but his movies are not doing well nowadays.Bad time for Mohanlal.KCM is a good movie got good initial collection,but it can not be a Superhit.

  In this thread, I had predicted that Thilakkam will be a flop. But now, I have to admit that my prediction has gone wrong.
  
  Thilakkam is going to be a hit now. After the initial 10 days of KCM, it's collection dipped and I guess family audience is prefering Thilakkam against KCM now. That might be the reaosn why Thialkkam collection showed un upward trend though the initial collection reports were not good.
  
  weblokam says Dileep has increased his pay to 50 lakhs. Oh..man....will he increase it to 1 crore if he gets 3-4 hits more.

  THILAKKAM AND KCM WILL BE HITS ..chronic leading all the collections ..but black vcds of cb is already out in the first week .. and now they made a new scad to prevent it ..arrest the people who has illegal copies ..even cbs add in newspapers has words aganist vcds .
  
  weblokam says dileep increased his pay but all his movies budget is below 2 cores cid moosa is the only exception..and they saying mammokka getting 50 lakhs ..thats not true also ..mammoty got 20 lakhs for fantom paili ..and i heard he helped a lot to financially falling fazil to finish cb .. media says high numbers but some times they don't get it .

  I don't think mammootty just got 20 lakhs. The producer wrote an article abt the movie in deepika. He didn't mention mammotty's salary, but wrote abt all other actors salary.

  been so many gossips when Dileep fell in trouble
  due to Road fire. Mohanlal is definitely a Genius.

  noboby can took away the place of Mammukka and Lalettan in Malayalam film world. From the sexy boring periods of Soman, Sukumaran and Jayan they made drastic changes in the quality of Malayalam films. who can ever forget movies like
  Adiyozhukkukal, Athirathram
  Rajavinte makan, NewDelhi
  Mukthi, Kireedom, Oru Vadakkan Veeragatha
  Aavanaazhi, Mamaatti kuttiamma, Nokkethaa doorathu, CBI diarikkurippu, Namukku parkaan munthiri thoppukal, Chithram, Amaram, Druvam,
  Thenmavin Kombathu, Aaryan, Mrugaya, Varavelpu, Sanmanasullavrku samaadhaanam and a lot of others. As many as 6 mammootty movies including Avanaazhi were released during 1986 Onam. Can any new stars in malayalm cinema can repeat that. Both Mammootty and Mohanlal contributed tremendously for the overall improvement of Malayalam cineme. dont write off them!!!

  nice to see this site.an opinion rendered by a "FAN" of the comperorary cinema actors is shown above.o.k.we have a handful of good artists.
  it doesn't mean the bygone golden era was "boring"!!even now those actors are remembered for their outstanding portrayal of some good characters of LIFE.even out of Kerala,actors like Jayan are remembered.a devoted artist,who was getting more and more polished as an actor, met with a dissaster due to his commitment towards art.still he lives in the hearts of millions.Soman&sukumaran also get their share of credit and appreciation for their natural performances.
  we,the malayalam cinema viewers are lucky to have all these gifted artists .in other language films it is a rare thing... only few artists who are natural and convincing.

  Mohan Lal has proved the critics wrong. The grapevine had been saying that he is old and out of the industry.But he has come back with a super hit in Baletan. Lal is one actor who can fit into any roles and therefore whatever be the trend he can adjust.Infact he has created a new family trend and the time for crass comedy seems to be fading out. He is coming out with another comedy film which is to be followed by an action thriller.He has reduced his weight and looks trim and smart now.He has once again saved the face of Malayalam cinema by doing a very good role in Balettan
