In the crowded bazaar of SOUTH INDIAN MDs, I feel Vidhyasagar has carved out a unique style for himself. Starting from Nila Pennae, he has quietly contributed a steady flow of melodies.
His "Malarae Mounamaa" a haunting melody by SPB and SJ brought him some much deserved praise. SPB sings it in every one of his concerts.he is the only music director in tamil industry who has a solid backup in carnatic and western at present. In fact, he has proved time and again that he can produce fantastic melodies which will haunt.
Im also surprised that he has scored 60 movies in telegu. Does any one know, how popular he was there?.
I m happy that, he is doing great in malayalam. after ARR in 90's, he is the great music talent to emerge in SOUTH INDIA.
2002 movies--
malayalam--meeshamadhavan,valentines day
hindi-- durga
tamil--karmegham,k.balachandrs movie, and ajiths new movie directed by ezhil

hey though i am a raveidran vidyasagar fan i dont think so vidya will make it into the hindi music world with his first movie. bcos in hindi for a debut music director u need to get a super director, well known producer superb actor and actres . thats the bolly wood trend. even though vidya's music in durga is good i dont think so he will make up with it. he will have to wait for a class director.

i think if he gets in to hindi then he'll have to get out from malayalam or tamil...bec he is so busy in malayalam and tamil...he done 2 movies...but he had to do 8 movies this year....so if he do a lot the quality will be lesser...i only want to get good songs from him.

hai friends i am vimal from chennai.did u hear the
film music of tamilan and kathale swasam scored by young musician imman.he is having potential to become a good musician.songs in tamilan are alike muthalvan but not a copied one.the songs are pop like.and some are very good.in kathale swasam, the songs are excellent.especially melodious no.s like kathale ...and manam vallikude....and there are complete western tunes like groovy guys and sokude kadal...and one rap song "machi kadhal ..."and one pop no. "summa iru" all are diiff and very good to listen.
hey do u know music director vidhyasagar has nick name of "REHMAN OF KERELA"AND i agree with that,he is very goood in blending melodies with
western and he is very good composer.i think he is doing 4 films now in tamil, run,k.b's movie, power of women, nallathor kadhal seithen and etc also"dubbed hit-vikky "coming here.all speaking about A.R.R and IR excellence with out noting the good music scored by him in past few years
