arun, i wouldn't say that it's "the best song ever". well, it's really good like many other songs a r rahman has composed. listen to some songs in "Puthiya Mugham" or "May matham", albums like "Andhi Malai" n so on and there are many more wonderful creations to mention..

kool that u respond........may madham song too is great..margazhi poove, but pookodi is an exceptional song, i have never heard such a song, both the lyrics and composing is amazing....

i also blve that 'pookodiyin punnakai' is a great song. at the time of its release i would listen to that song all day and night for weeks. still love it.
