  I think Lal isn't getting any really good movies to act in. It seems malayalee directors/producers have been up to a lot of crap and are producing poor quality movies in Kerala. It seems more focused on stuff like dance,fights,etc rather than making a good story and producing good acting.Not that I think that dancing and fights are bad or anything, I just think the acting and storyline should be up to standard as well. This is a disgrace to the Kerala Film Industry, which used to produce very good quality movies

  Vince, are you sure about the films made in Antony's name are by Lal himself?
  
  I remember reading an interview by Lal in which he says that he doesn't like doing movies like Narasimham but he just had to accept it since the directors bring only stories like this to him. I thought his penchant was more towards the 'art' type movies(except for movies with Sreeni and Priyan) than commercial ones.

  the other day i casually visited a mohanlal site and glanced through a list of his films. Shucks! I was kind of moved to see the number of great movies this guy has given us. I mean, there are so many of them: from 1983 to 1994: Ten years drenched in emotions light and weighty. Silly or sublime: All of it kind of touched you, moved you in some way. I kinda felt grateful to this chap. Man! he's good.

  Mohan Lal is the best hero in Malayalam till date. People like Nana Patekar, Parthipan and Manirathnam say they are fans of MohanLal. That too, when Lal has not done many movies in other languages.

  after narasimham mohan lal has never had a proper hit & it is not that lal doesnt get good roles it is that he wants to add his on dialogues in the movie very much, bcos of which the better directors r turning away from him
  he had some similar prblms with kamal due to which chakram was shelved
  lohithadas doesnt take him in his movie anymorejust like other directors
  just look at ravanaprabhu even mohanlal fans did not sit for the entire movie i just sat there for half an hour and got so angry

  Iruvar was an excellent film. it wasn't rajani who acted with him dumbo. It was Prakas Raj. As far as I know, Comapany wasn't a big hit, but it wasn't a flop either.
