Sabu Cyril turns director

Sabu Cyril, one of the finest art directors in the country is turning to direction with a Malayalam film titled Ananthabhadram with Mammootty, Pritviraj and Meera Jasmine in the lead.

After a long gap, Maniyan Pilla Raju is coming back as a producer with this big budget film to be made under the banner of Sri Bhadra pictures. Sabu’s debut film is based on a story by Sunil Parameswaran, which had bagged an award for the most popular novel of the year from Malayala Manorama.

Mammootty and Pritviraj are also coming together for the first time along with Nedumudi Venu, Oduvil, Manoj.K.Jayan, Ganesh Kumar, Sai Kumar and Siddique. Ananthabhadram will be a horror thriller with a lot of graphics and special effects. Sunil Parameswaran writes the screenplay and Sabu will be taking care of the art direction.

Sabu says that the film will start rolling in April and will be released for Onam 2004.
