THESE ARE THE TOP-3 NOMINATIONS THIS YEAR
1.KUMAR SANU FOR ISHK WISHK PYAAR VYAAR: title song of the movie ishk wishk.
-this song has incredible range, starting with the deep Kumar sanu baritone, it reaches a shrill pich in no time (i am a professional singer....but this song is damn tough...try singing it).
-the antara 'dil hai deewaana, dil ka fasana' is sung so soft and romantically by kumar sanu, again, incredible variation in the voice.
-this song is part of the album which gave a movie full of newcomers an incredible opening. ultimately this ken ghosh/tips venture became the first hit of this year, and kumar sanu deserves an filmfare for being instrumental in the success of this debutant team and making shaahid kapoor a household name.
2.KUMAR SANU FOR KISI SE TUM PYAAR KARO -again, an example of singing par excellence...the movie was not too good, but the incredible popularity of the songs made it a hit.
-raj kanwar and suneel darshan were given a new lease of life after delivering duds like 'ab ke baras' and 'talaash'.... movies which didn't even make a ripple at the box office.
-sanu da deserves the award for reviving two faltering banners with incredible one block-buster song.
-recently i attended a Indian Doctors Association diwali party, here in birmingham, UK, and the orchestra performing sang old evergreen songs, but only one new song....any guesses??...kisi se tum pyaar karo.
-kumar sanu's soulful singing knows no barriers, everyone...wether in bairagarh, or in birmingham can associate with sanu da's soulful voice...and thats why he deserves the award.
3.KUMAR SANU FOR WOH LADKI BAHUT YAAD AATI HAI
-the same story once again, a faltering banner , with a string of 'nightmares' behind it, hit jackpot due to sanu da's golden voice.
-in this song, sanu da sings a relatively fast number, but still maintains the softness and emotion in his voice...very much like' sochenge tumhein pyaar karen ki nahin', any other singer singing this song would have made it time-pass song, but sanu da has woven magic into it.and thats why he deserves a filmfare for it.
in contrast the other singers piggy-backed their way to success. udit(koi mil gaaya),abhijeet(chalte chalte) and sonu(kal ho na ho) , sang songs which would have been hit regardless of who sang them, due to the big banner and starcast.....no doubt one of them could win the award...but i dont think they deserve it .

Kumar Sanu is a living legend. No doubts about it. The success he had, nobody can match it. This year has been great for him. He has sung so many great hits and will be sure in contention for thee best singer award. Special mention for "Ishk vishk" title song, "Kisise tum pyar karo" from Andaaz and also "Wo ladki bahut" of Qayamat. His recent "Tum mujhe bas yuhin" from Aetbaar is also superb. I hope he wins this year. I am a fan of KS since his Aashiqui days. I just loooooove him.

Kumar Sanu should win every award not just this filmfare. The awards these days are not given to the deserving. Istead the winner is who kisses most a-s or pays the most money. Well Kumar Sanu is still the best playback singer, and most popular despite singing fewer songs. He is still wanted to be heard and scene. He demands the most money for songs. Every song he is getting these days has quality and melody. We can not say this about the other singers today. Some singers work for free (for publicity), they save the director money and ruin songs, this is the reason why the big singers are getting less songs, and other not so great singers are. Sanuji deserves the award since he has the highest percentage of hits songs this year. He is the only singer from this year to take o.k songs into chartbusters! 6th filmfare should be given to Sanuji and when he picks up the award I want him to thank the fans and then sing the song from Dil Ka Kya Kasoor -Gaa Raha Hoon is mehfil mein ap ki.... This will be great!

i agree...
KUMAR SANU is the most soulful singer of all time, and deserves the
award.
but there has been a conspiracy agains his off late.
i am sure u remember
1.jaspinder got the award for 'jab kisi ki taraf dil' but sanu didn't
2.alka got the award for ' meri mehbooba',pardes, but sanu didnt
3.chitra got the award for 'payali chun mun' but sanu didnt
4.sanu had the lead song of DDLJ ,'tujhe dekha to yeh jaana sanam'
but udit got it for a lesser song
5.sanu had the lead song of HDDCS ,'aankhon ki gustaakhiyaan', but
again udit got the award for a lesser song.
all this points towards a conspiracy against kumar sanu, so thats
why i have stopped taking any regard of these dumb awards.
if udit can win a national award for a song he has hardly heard
himself, 'zindagi khoobsoorat hai'(in an interview he said that the
first thing he did after getting the award was listen to the song
carefully) , then who cares a bloody hell who gets the next award.
KUMAR SANU IS A LIVING LEGEND and noone can take that status away
from him.

There are more examples of conspiracy against him:
(1)Anu Malik and J.P.Dutt used him twice in their films and later dubbed his voice.
(2)Kumar sanu gave hit songs in Daboo Malik's music. But Daboo Malik does not mention his name in interviews.
(3)Filmfare lists top ten musicmakers for 2003, but Kumar sanu does not feature in the list.
(4)The report of Bollywood Music Awards feature at various places. But in the list of awardees, Kumar Sanu does not feature.
(5)In the MTV music awards nomination for 2003, a song from 2002 is included, but not a single Kumar Sanu song from the top albums IV, Andaaz or Quayamat.
