  Scene is bad..but some decent stuff is happening(A serial called American Dreams in Asianet was pretty decent which was shot entirely in america.Did u see it?A new show called kadamattathu kathanar also promises to be something different(i only saw the promos)

  hi sid i think u r form American , there is a lot of nadan serials in Asianet ,we enjoy that type pure nadan serials , some them may be bad ,,,

  i said earlier , i am watching that serial only for that purpose ,,,,but one problem it shows in india at 8 o'clock morning(sunday)....if it shows in night it is more usefull....

  aha..ya i thin it was due to the american timings ..they primarly made American dreams for american indians..swapnam i watched a bit too..good one that..wish better stuff happen in tv then the routine painkili stuff.What kind of a show would u like to watch in tv?

  ya i wud like to see well made weekly serials in tv..like they had sometime before..of the likes of nizhalukal,peythozhiyade and stuff..unfortunately channels are not promoting such stuff these days..a good comedy serial wud also be a relief

  Our channels (especially Surya and Asianet) do not want to bother much to get advertisement. Their formula for years are make a 'Mannabudhi' heroine who is a 'Sarvam saha' and make our ladies cry. I don't think our ladies are that much fools. But always they showed our seriel heroines as the biggest fools of the world. In 'Sthree oru Santhwanam', the heroine is the biggest fool who can't recognise her husbund is trying to kill her. And in the other superhit seriel in 'Surya' Sthree janman, too, is the heroine a' Mannabudhi'. For this,I appreciate 'Kairali'. they are not much depend on such seriels and heroines.
  
  I am not blaming our ladies who is seeing this seriels. They have not much options to select. They proved they will see good seriles. The proof is the success of 'Swapnam' and 'Megham'. But oor channels don't want to bother that much. They are interested in 'Swantham' 'Alippazham' type cheap stories.

  Its not that the channels are interested only..the audiences are also intrested in such crap stuff..channels go by the trp i guess.and all these shows u mentioned are ranked high in the trp..so channels are running it..it would be wonderful if channels show the guts to make some smart tv films with good content and premier it worldwide on sundays prime time

  Why talk of serials? Almost every program in malayalam channels reek of crass stupidity. Look at radio and the programmes even a channel like AIR gives. Now think of the greater potential for expression that is possible via TV. We are yet to see a channel that makes good use even one tenth of this potential.
