all malayalees hate kamal because they think that mohanlal is best actor in india..they never except the real factor that kamal is most talented actor in india now.Kamal has proof it by grabing 3 national awards..for best actor..and he is only actor can near to oscar in india....because his five films have been selected to oscar presenting india...kamal has proof it..but mohanlal???????????????

  this is ONLY true for Super* Rajni, not kamal, or Lal.

  But some facts.
  1.Kerala is only 1/3 of Tamil nadu.Hence Mohanlal is not popular as kamal.
  2.Kamal *ed or acted in many Hindi films.
  Mohan Lal only one("Company" ,not hero.He got an Award from abroad for the movie)Hence kamal is popular
  3.The last time kamal won national awrd for the film Indian(Nayakan,third i don't know) which was purely a commercial movie with attractions like Urmila,Manisha.It was an all time hit and was remade in Hindi.Hence more popularity.
  4.He directs and writes script.Versatile genius.
  
  5.Mohan lal has considered for national award for
  atlast three times other than the two he won
  (Kireedam,Iruvar,Devadoothan.. may be more)Kireedam got special jury award(guess who won:not Kamal,The other great malayalee Mammootty)

  look back to the careers of these actors..
  you find one thing...90% of kamal's roles are of peculiar persons... (guna,nayakan,indian,apoorva sahodaran,thenali,avvai shanmugi,aalavandan,kalainjan,chanakyan etc)so who can evaluate them?
  the real challenge for an actor is to have the range to portray a common man, ......no one in india can do it better than Mohan lal... the genius had proved it in many....so... no argument ......Lal is the greatest..

  i cant say kamal is a actor,he is a copy cat or trained actor.kamal all ways try to imitate acting style of legendary merlin brando and super star mel gibson.the perfect example is kamal's NAYAKAN' in this film he imitated merlin brando perfectly in "GODFATHER".in india there are two actors are originally born for acting,that's our mammootty and mohanlal.both are giving different identity for their characters with simplicity and observation.but kamal observation or research devoloping when any new thing happen in hollywood.
