  KCM extrmely disappointing.KB also disappointing considering tom other sidique films.BUT IT IS SCORING WELL IN BOX OFFICE.one thing.it is not a boring one.Mukesh superb!its a good movie.Cant say SUPERB!!!

  KCM's initial collection was high, but the public opinion is bad for this movie. (Of course, the reason is that expectation is too high from a Lal-Sreeni-Priyan combination)
  CB is also not satisfying the fans of Siddique (when compared to his old hits), but comparatively it has a good opinion.
  
  In the long run, it might collect more than KCM.

  songs are good, rambha, mukesh, bhavana done well.
  I have n't seen KCM. so I can't say an opinion.

  frankly, chronic bachelor is one of the worst movies i've seen in recent times. siddique has unabashedly made a pot pourri out of his own godfather, hitler with a clear shade of padayappa too, by the way. mammootty looks terrific in some scenes. and i liked his new look. he hardly looks 52, but there isn't much in the role for an actor like him. mukesh, of course, scores above all here as well, though most of the jokes are as stale as those old ones on mimicry stages. some of the scenes look so silly that it reminds you of the early 80s potboilers from c-grade directors. it's a bad movie. period.
  
  kilichundan mambazham doesn't have enough comedy. it's not that the comedy is bad. it's just that there isn't enough. you can actually call it a serious movie, set in a milieu which isn't common with mal movie fans. i liked it much better than ghazal, which had the same backdrop. mohanlal, sadly, overacts a wee bit in some of the comic scenes. but when it comes to high voltage emotional scenes, he's a delight, as usual. this is one of priyadarsan's more realistic movies and is any day better cinema that chronic bachelor.
  
  about the colelction, though i can't be an authority on box office, i have to say this. i saw both the movies in kochi, and neither of them are running to full houses. kilichundan has slightly bigger crowds but that isn't saying much. but i guess we have the tendency to gulp down whatever the ads say. on one side, they say 'keralam aake chronic tharangam' or some bull like that. on the other, they say kilichundan has broken all initial collection records in the entire malayalam film history. hard to choose from, actually.

  u saying abt overacting of lal in kcm in comedy scences ..from couple of clips and shooting report i saw the comedy is okkay ..but one scene where i saw lal going 0 is when he talking emotionally to seema and i think her two girls ..i think tht might be the worst scence of the movie .
  
  i don't know abt box office reports ..but most of the big movies had really good intial collection it might be dropped down .. kcm released in 39 . now 32 showing it .. in 22 theatures cb released and last week it started to show in 8 more theatures ..so 30 and thilakkam in 31

  THILAKKAM IS THE BEST VISHU MOVIE WITH EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE FROM DILEEP.KCM AND CB ARE THE WORST FILMS OF THE YEAR WITH EVEN WORSE ROLES FOR MAMMU AND MOHA.THE STORYLINE IS SO WEAK AND SCRIPT IS STALE.BOTH MAMMOOTY AND LAL LOOK OLD AND GRUMPY.

  Anyway, box office position shows mammootty is not fully written off from malayalam film industry. Again if pattaalam and Renjit's new film do well in box office he can be here. But better he should do roles like bachan does in hindi.
  Interestingly, in both the movies side characters are shining than the main character. In KCM sreeni excells and in CB mukesh. In Asianet program even lal accepted that Sreeni has to do more than Lal.
  
  But as per now, thinking about the next projects, mammootty's projects give more expectation. Pattaalam, raavu maayunnu, CBI etc. Roles seems to be good for his age.
  Lal's next project is not giving much expectation.
  Baalettan, Renji panikker movie etc seems to be movies just for keeping his position.
  Dileep goes in comedy track and we need somebody in serious track. If mammootty does meaningful roles (side role also)he can survive.
  But how many times we predicted his end in malayalam movies. Each time his return was great.
  Let dileep goes with comedy and the youngesters go with nammal and koodu. And let mammmootty and lal come with serious movies.

  I thought mammootty will be out from the industry like 3 years ago, but what a comeback he did. eventhough he had to find distributors, and producers himself, he is getting some movies in his hand.
  
  With mohan lal, i don't know whats going on, he just can't get a good movie on his hand. Writers, give lal a good story that he can ACT.
