BHARATHAN - My choice 4 No 1 Director.It is his beauty of direction wich made people say that his movie has a "BHARATHAN TOUCH".His Association with "PADMARAJAN" might be the Best Writer-Director Combination Malayalam

PADMARAJAN - Superb Writer as well as Director.He brought a new trend which is neither Art or commercial into the industry.It was his ability to attract PEOPLE FROM ALL STANDARDS towards movies with heavy subjects.

FAZIL - Man with heavy Guts.He was the one to introduce the Great MOHANLAL & Many new actors.But that doesn't reduce praise abt his movies.He got the ability to make movies that will be liked by the whole mass especially Families.His movies have the wholesome entertainment.
Movies - Manjil Virinja Pookal*,Manichitratazhu,Aniyathipraavu,Harikrishnans.
SIBI MALAYIL - After Padmarajan-Bharathan team,The next place 4 best writer-director team is Sibi-Loho team.They with Mohanlal went on to make superb movies which aws tottaly accepted by the mass.Their movies point out the characters and the storyline goes according to the character's behaviour.Be it Sethumadhavan in Kireedom or Annie in Aakashadoothu.

SATHYAN ANTHIKAD - Most Popular Director among the Family members.He with Sreenivasan & Mohanlal was the reason for many movies which shows the problems faced by common man in the society.He blends such serious storylines with humour which is the main reason 4 his success.

PRIYADARSHAN - Many Say he lifts from Hollywood movies.But still his movie has the ENTERTAINING ELEMENT which makes people attract to his movies.Its mainly his humour movies which people knows but he directed movies like Aryan, Adhwaitham, Kaalapaani which shows his RANGE.

KAMAL - He has now taken the postion of the most GUARANTEED DIRECTOR.Be it with the Newcomers or Experienced,he can guarnatee U with a minimum success comparing to other directors.He tryed to maintain his standard in all his movie.Even his worst movie-Swapnakoodu was a success. A director tremendously liked by the campus.

JOSHI - Movies for masses expecting action,comedy,sentiments etc all together,JOSHI is the right person.He should be in the commercial category but like KAMAL most of his movies didn't loose a certain standard.Mammotty is his prime choice in all his movies.

BALACHANDRAN MENON - Family Director of the 80's.All his movies had different themes,different style and of course different results.But all had a thing in common. His movies were widely appreciated by the mass especially families.

K G GEORGE - Hey why this award winning director in this category.Just because most of his movies have been commercial success.He himself told that his movies have an
investigating theme.Be it a Profession,Character or anything.The investigation of the character shows the storyline.

I V SASI - I think he has directed most No of Malayalam Cinema.It was the Sasi Style which ruled through out the 80s.It had everything.Be it a political crisis,interaction between two characters etc,he had the prime hold.His combination with MT or Damodaran was simply superb.

K MADHU - Expecting a suspense thriller,just look if it has "K Madhu & S N Swamy"under the title.His movies had that entertainment factor which attracted
the mass like Joshi,I V Sasi.

HARIHARAN - Tottaly different from the directors in this category.He with MT created movies which shows the life of a particular category or person in the society.Be it a Naxelite in Panchagni or a Antharjanam in Parinayam.

SIDHIQUE - LAL - Directors who promoted Slapstick comedy after Priyadarshan.But above all their record in the industry is 100%.But nowadays Sidhique is directing movies & Lal is acting and producing movies. ** shows movies directed by Sidhique alone.

VIJI THAMPY - He brought a trend which is bringing pace into the movies by swift editing.He depends mainly on comedy.His movies like other comedy directors too have a minimum guarantee.He mainy combines with Kalloor Dennis,Jagathi,Jagadeesh & Sidhique.

RAJASENAN - He actually brought a different genre of comedy.Its usually a hero surrounded by many comedians.He along with Jayaram produced many successful films.
