To me, Kumar Sanu is the most popular singer in the country, today. Last year, Kumar Sanu delivered the maximum number of hits in films like Andaaz, Qayamat, Dil Ka Rishta, Ishq Vishk and many more films.

Only Kumar Sanu has given the maximum no. of hits and melodious popular songs in recent times like:

Andaaz ('Kisise Tum Pyaar Karo', 'Kitna Pagal Dil Hai')

Qayamat ('Woh Ladki Bahut Yaad Aati Hai')

Ishq Vishk ('Chot Dil Pe Lagi', 'Aankhon Ne', 'Title Song' & 'Mujhpe Har Haseena')

Dil Ka Rishtaa ('Dil Churale', "Title Song', 'Haye Dil') and many more.

Still, he has been given melodious numbers in films like AETBAAR, PLAN, WRONG NUMBER and singing some of the soulful songs in SHEEN, TUM more to come...

Today, Kumar Sanu is still the most popular singer.

Last year, the singer was also given the ’Artist of the Decade’ award at the Bollywood Music Award 2003 in Atlantic City. He truly deserved this recognition.

I am sure everyone must have realised why Kumar Sanu is so popular even today.

According to me and millions of his sincere fans all over the world, Kumar Sanu is a Living Legend.

As 49th Filmfare Awards are going to be held in February 2004. I remember, had appreciated the hard work, effort and immense talent of Kumar Sanu, by honouring him with the record five 5 consecutive Filmfare Awards for 'Best Male Playback Singer' in years 1990,1991,1992,1993 and 1994 for the songs 'Ab Tere Bin' - Aashiqui, 'Mera Dil Bhi' - Saajan, 'Sochenge Tumhain Pyaar' - Deewana, 'Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhein' - Baazigar and 'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha' - 1942 A Love Story respectively.

We all fans truly appreciate this honour but, I also remember, Kumar Sanu is being rejected and ignored in a big way many times.

For example:
Kumar Sanu 100% deserved awards for his songs like in 1995 for the song 'Tujhe Dekha To Yeh Janam Sanam' - DDLJ, in 1997 for the song 'Do Dil Mil Rahe Hain' - Pardes, in 1999 for the song 'Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyaan' - Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam and in 2002 for the recent hit 'Sanam Mere Humraaz' - Humraaz. (This is one of the deadliest conspiracy against Kumar Sanu)

We are really dissapointed that a legendary artist like Kumar Sanu is being rejected in a big way. We accept that other singers are doing good too but they cannot be matched to the great and immense talent of Kumar Sanu.

I really respect Filmfare Awards and I am still hopeful for Filmfare Awards.

  I don't think so. Definitely, Sonu Nigam for song- Kal Ho Na Ho from movie Kal Ho Na Ho. But, if it makes you feel better, Kumar Sanu was really good in Chalte Chalte. But he tries to copy Udit Narayan. He also sounds a little older than the rest.

  Hey man! Don't forget Kal raat se, kal hum jis se and other flavors that touch the hearts of all men and women...
  Keep up the good work and Congrats to Sanu as the World's number 1.Whoever else won the award, Sanu will still be their hero to look up to. Why does Sanu have to copy Udit...someone is really idiotic to say that in the first place.
