***Kunchacko Boban in Mayamohithachandran...Shibu (Sathyan anthikad's LONG TIME ASSOCIATE) is the director....new comer Renuka is the heroine...other cast includes: Bharath Bopi, Janardhanan, Nedumudi Venu, Oduvil, Mala, KPAC Lalitha, Lisy Jose, Ramya Christy, Jiji Surendran....i read somewhere that Prithviraj was in a shibu movie with Kunchacko Boban..im assuming this is that movie...
***The original cast SEEMS TO BE was different but it all got changed... the original title was "postmane kananilla" with Mukesh, Biju Menon, Jagadeesh, Jagathy, Innocent, Nedumudi, Kochin Haneef, Mala Aravindan, Oduvil, Mamukoya and heroine meera jasmin...but it all got switched....maybe it was for the best i dont know...i read the story...it seems very interesting...music director is ILAYARAJA...if anyone has any more info pls tell me...also tell me ur opinion of the movie-if it will make it or not...all those people that thought chackochan quit films-this is just proof that he hasnt quit...he was taking a break due to his sis's marriage and recently his dad had a heart operation...so give the guy some slack please...and he is looking for good roles...GOOD LUCK TO MY CHACKOCHAN

  the plot looks like in the line of the movies "Ponmuttayidunna...", "Praadeshika vaarthakal", "Peruvannaapurathe.." etc.. These are some of my favourites movies --- naattinpuram, chaaya kada, velichapaadu, grameenar etc... So, i am really waiting for this movie. but the story looks a copy of the movie - "Ennodishtam koodaamo"

  i think the movie would be good .. Kunchacko over aakathirunnaal mathi.. sorry hema, didnt want to hurt u if the director is a new comer then most of the times he overacts that is what i felt..He was good in Kamal's "Niram".Kizhavan paranjathu pole 'ennodishtam..' thinte touch undu padATHINU..village subjects are always good in malayalam and if it has got sathyan anthikkad touch then great.

  thanx guys for the comments...i dont know those movies that u were talking abt...i might have seen them way back but i dont remember them now..."postmane kananilla" was the original name to the movie and someone told me that was an old movie done by prem naseer?...is it true...if so it might even be a remake
  dont worry sudheer u didnt hurt me when u said that u feel that he overacts with new directors...it is ur opinion and u said it in a nice way
  i thought many would feel that this would be a flop like narendran...i think this film has something more to offer...in narendran the beginning was good(story and acting) and then toward the end the story ended in a weird way(director summed it up too quickly) so i think that is why it was not a success...and the music i didnt like at all...no tunes or anything...but ilayaraja is doing this movies music so it should be great

  sudheer-well if u look at it that way...yea-thanx...i just didnt like it becoz of the ending...and we got theatre copy...so it made the story look even more awful...i hate theatre copy-what is the pt...i might as well not see the movie-no clear sound or picture...but the beginning i thought it was very funny and good storyline...can u explain to me the ending...i never really understood it...it ended with chacko walking into his mom's house with his cousin...so does that mean he married her?...but what abt samyktha..i felt that they both had feelings twd each other...
  yea ravana prabhu was great...lal's acting, the story, and the music was adipoly!

  me too dont agree with u ant narendran being a flop. it was a hit. it was not a megahit.but it passed tha golden jubilee okay.
  yeah the end was a bit lousy. but people liked the whole package. the film was meant to ridicule the current ongoings in kerala and the purpose was done. i heard many good reviews abt it. so believe me the film was good and a grosser.

  monica-ok da...i didnt mean to say it was a total flop...the only reason i said that was becoz of the ending...and as i said i got the theatre print copy so it looked worse...but i think chackochan, samyktha, and all the ohter actors did super!!! and it was hilarious too!!!

  chackochan(chandran) is a postman that delivers mail to rich people...one day he meets a rich girl in that neighborhood...she(maya) pretends to fall in luv with him...chacko of course believes it and falls in luv with her...meanwhile she is laughing with her fiance abt this...that is how the title comes...mayamohithachandran(maya mohipikas chandran)....cute dont u think..hehe

  I read the story of Maya Mohitha... it seems similarity with an old movie of Mukesh. I forget the name that film, in it Mukesh and Madhubala played the major role. The similarities I noticed are
  Both heroines are rich
  Both heroes are poor
  Both heroines are pretending love with hero
  Both heroes love truly
  Both heroines belong fiancé
  In Maya Mohi... heroin describes his love play to her fiancé and in the old movie heroin describes to her grand mother.
  Both movies claims it depict the innocence of village and fakeness of city life.

  I can't say the movie will be definitely a flop. Because some times the similar story mayn't be the main theme. It might be sub to the main story.
  The story of Ennodishtam Koodamo is narrated with a comedy touch. I don't know how will be narrated this movie.
  A film can succeed if there is a strong script and good direction even though the story is an old one. More over nobody knows the formula for the success of movies. So I am not ready to make a prediction about the success of movie.
