The way she talks, the way she walks, the way she smiles, the way she looks, the way she dresses, the way she behaves....everything is so adipoli! Going by the kind of roles that Meera selects in her films, there is a popular perception that Meera Jasmine is a brand for the upper class.. and that she would continue to be viewed at in a different perspective when compared to the "Janatha" roles that actresses like Kavya Madhavan takes on.
I also noticed that in one of the threads above named for an actress suitable for MODERN roles number of respondents had indicated Meera as their pick.
Does that mean that "MODERN roles" means "not acceptable by the masses" ? Is Meera "too cool" for the ordinary Malayalee masses or did she arrive way ahead of her time?

She can obviously do traditional roles...her acting in "chakram" was a traditional one...and her acting in Padam 1 oru vilapam was totally nadan.

Her upcoming Vishu release, "Chembattu" is totally naaden. But all the same, I agree with sruthi.. she looks more authentic when she does modern roles, especially that "kalla chirri" of hers ;-) ...she has potrayed the role of the "street-smart, independent girl" exceptionally well in Kasthoorimaan, Gramophone and Swapnakoodu!

Who said that Meera is doing a nadan role in chempattu. According Lohithadas, in chempattu She is acting as modern girl who has done her post graduation.
