WC,
I know u very well :)
The online tool u used may be from http://www.geoup.com. I also got auckland as the result when entered ur IP. But these may not be accurate as they are not official bodies.
To know the provider use
http://www.arin.net/tools/index.html
search in the whois textbox. Now it will tell your official network body. Either APNIC,RIPE or LACNIC.
Now go back to the previous page and click on APNIC WHOIS. In the new page enter your IP and search again ..
The result will tell you about your providers location and not your location. You may be in cochin using asianet. Result will have only Asianet TVM.
By using arin (to know the provider, always correct) and geoup(to know the location, may not be accurate always), you can track a person.

Hi Vimal,
I assume that this IP is newly acquired by your company. Arin doesn't show info regarding new IPs. I think they take some time to synchronise their database.
Even EO(evano_oruvan) was facing this problem. His was a new IP and Arin didnt detect.
