To appreciate Prem Nazir one needs a very high level uncorrupted clear view of the human psyche. To understand the not at all obvious genius of this great man, compare all superstars, all actors with this down to earth movie star.
Especially compare with the brash Mammootty, too natural Mohanlal, intense Jayan, Macho Satyan, Suave Cary Grant, egoistic Kamal Hasan, self conscious Rajnikanth, overly gifted Bachchan. The closest in non-intense unassuming sincere yet charismatic that come to Prem Nazir were Sivaji and MGR and in Hollywood Gregory Peck and Heston.
