Yesterday I seen in Mohanlal getting an award in Johannasburg, South Africa for the best supporting charactor for his act in 'Company'. As a Malayali, I have proud about it. But while accepting that award Mohanlal made a speach. In it, he praised Malayalam film industry. For this, he claimed Malayalam is the first,that made first Cinimascope, 70 m.m and 3d films in India. About 3D it is O.K. But he was not aware that Thacholi Ambu is not the first Indian Cinimascope film or Padayottam is not the first Indian 70mm film. Poor Amithabh and Jaya were there who acted in a 70mm films 'Sholay', which came decade before our great 'Padayottam'. This blunder telecasted all over the world through 'Sony'.
