  The very name Amruthavarshani sounds melodious and is pleasing to the ears . This raga has a speciality that, if sung or played on any musical instrument it is capable of producing rain-clouds and later a shower .There is also a nscientific explanation to this phenomenon . When this raga is sung,it sets the molecules in such a pattern where heat is generated , thus leading to convectional rains . Have you named your daughter ? V .RAMANATHAN FLUTIST

  its said that when muthuswami dikshithar sang his kriti anandamruthavarshini,it rained torrentially when he sang varshaya varshaya (rain rain)and it only stopped when he sang sthambhaya sthambhaya(stop stop)!
