Besides Balamuralikrishna others who have composed in all the 72 sampurna melakartas are: Kotishvara Iyer, D.Pattammal. C.Rangiah, Bangalore S.Mukund, Cuddalore Subramaniam and Ashok R.Madhav. Maha vaidyanatha Iyer has composed a 72 melakarta ragamalika. Dikshitar has composed in the asampurna melakarta ragas.

Rajesh:
Balamuralikrishna himself has recorded his melakarta songs. The set is called Ragangaravali.
Vidvan S.Rajam has recorded Kotishvara Iyer's songs. M.S.Subbulakshmi has a cassette on the Maha Vaidyanatha Iyer's composition. I don't think the others have been recorded. These should be commercially available in music stores.
Since it takes too long to type the melakarta songs of Tyagaraja I am emailing you the list separately.
Asamuprna melakartas are the ones that do not follow the Katapayadi scheme. You can get all the details from the following website.

AFAIK, there aren't any. Ragams of Carnatic Music are much more than just scales and IMHO it would be an worthless effort to just sing the scales of a rAgam. For instance, if you sing just the scales of rakti rAgams such as surati or Ahiri it would sound awful and it wont give you a feel for the beauty of those rAgams. I have a recording of a certain artiste who sings a "flat" Bhairavi. He was certainly adhering to the scales of it. But there was no life in that rendition.

During the 1970s, Veena Balachander rendered twelve long play vinyl LPs (HMV label) where he gives in VIna, the AlApana (and tAnam in some cases), of all the 72 mELakartAs. Each LP accommodated six mELams. Thee are just improvisations, and no k.rtis or songs. Are they available nowadays in some other formats like audio cassettes/CDs?
