This thread is about the different mudras (signatures)used by composers of carnatic music, clever usages which show dexterity in the use of language.

  Is gopala dasa one of the dasas or is it the mudra for Venna Kuppaiyer? Does anyone know?

  Shyam:
  Gopaladasa is indeed the mudra of Vinai Kuppier. There is, however, a Gopalavithaladasa who is or was one of the haridasas.
