it is a shame that this should happen in a society like ours. that we let our friends, children, brothers, sisters, etc face all this
anyone seriously interested in helping them?

Child sexual offenders and rapists should be publicly castrated and then beheaded. We should sent out a strong message to these basta*rds. There is no point in continually discussing this thing over and over again. We will keep discussing this after 1000 years also. By that time many innocents will become pray to this evil.
Enough is enough and let us start the beheading right away.
Molestation - Castration
Rape - Beheading

Miss. Nanthini Thangarasa (15 or 16) of Ward 9, Kokkadiccholai, was a young girl in an LTTE establishment in Interior Batticaloa. She had committed suicide on 24th April 2002 and her body was sent home for burial. According to informants close to the family, Nanthini had been a few months pregnant through an affair with a Ravi of the LTTE's Communications Unit. The suicide according to these sources resulted from Ravi denying paternity of the child and refusing to marry her.
Another version of presumably the same incident from casual village talk illustrates how difficult it has become in that atmosphere to disentangle truth from half-truth. In this second version, the girl is said to have been 18 and had left the LTTE. She is said to have become pregnant by an affair with a married man, a civilian, in the Unnichchai area. Following the girl's suicide the LTTE is said to have detained the man and later released him. The interlocutor was not aware of the girl's name.
On applying for further clarification, we learnt that Nandini had been conscripted by the LTTE during 2001. She had been assigned to work in the Communications Unit at Kevarmalai, near Unnichchai, that was headed by Ravi. When she became pregnant, some unsuccessful attempts were made at abortion. It was then that she had confided in a few friends. Following her suicide, the LTTE decided to send her body home rather than place her among the martyrs' graves. Ravi , we learn, was subsequently questioned, and the matter was hushed up.

Having gone through several aspects of child conscription and its effects on society, the question naturally arises whether the LTTE does respond to international concern, and of what value are assurances from the highest LTTE officials?

The first step is to find the abuser, and one of the most sadistic and notorious abusers is none other than Puttaparthi Sathya Mayirandi Baba.
He needs to be brought to justice, my heart goes out to the hundreds of children he molested.

Alysia,
My heart goes out to u, but it is wrong of u to think that what was done to u was done for a reason. There is no reason at all in this world for any body to do such a horrifying act to another being. Dont compromise by feeling so. Be strong and get justice for urself.

dear alysia, u sure need to be brave and make sure justice is done to you. do not blame yourself or think it terms of `it was fated'. 14 yrs is too long a time. no matter how closely the abuser is related to you, you must make sure he is punished. good luck, may god bless u and give u the strength.
