Hi,
I thought it would be a nice idea to share some nice experiences, facts and trivia about the places we have visited. This would also encourage others to travel more.
By vaalibargaL, I include boys, girls, men and women of all age!!
I start with my experiences during a visit to Thailand. I was fascinated to see the "Ayyuthaya ruins" Thailand people believe that their kings are descendants of Lord Rama. The ceremonial title of their kings is "Rama." This Ayyuthaya is the place where Lord Rama was born and ruled the country, according to their legend. Especially in the night time, the place was nicely lit and it looked great. The thai people also have a version of Ramayana where their queen is kidnapped by a demon and Rama wages a war to rescue her. However, the demon in this version has 10 heads all placed one on top of another as a vertical column!!
So guys, shoot now your own experiences and facts.

Hello. en pEr Skanthavelu Nadarajah. 2 years ago, I went to Vancouver to stay with one Chinese family there. What an experience. Vancouver, I found was very different from other cities I have seen on the Canadian praries. I saw that many buildings reflected strong British influences and also, with there being so many Asians there, 60% Asian population along with people from British Isles, I felt as I was in Singapore or Hong Kong. The Chinese food I had there was so dofferent from what I ate one the praries. It was the actual real Chinese food, not the filling, MSG laced crap that I was eating all of the time. Grannville Island is so beautiful. I saw an open air market there. I also was blessed with the opportunity to eat sushi. It was delicious! Also, I went to visit a big North Indian style Hindu temple and an even bigger Chinese Buddhist temple in Richmond. I found these temples extremely beautiful. It was in the Buddhist temple that I found out the wife whose family I stayed with is a Buddhist. I found that the people I saw in Vancouver very friendly. I also went to Luxmii's Singapore Imports and I shopped there and the store clerk charged me half price for the things I bought there. (He knows me. I was his customer until recently.) I also seeing the mountains in the background. What a beautiful sight! Vancouver, though part of Canada, is very Asian too! Next year in May, I will be going to Edmonds, Washington. My Amma will be there. I will be seeing Her. I hope my stay in Edmonds will be as good as Vancouver! Wish me luck!

Skandavelu natarajah,
Best wishes to you.
To continue with my visit to Thailand, I also visited the Pattaya beach, the epitome of Thai culture. One of the most beautiful beach towns in the world. Lots of beachside bars and pubs. Lot of shopping malls too. Pattaya is a must go for all visitors to Thailand. There was also a North Indian restaurant there, but as I am from India, I did not eat there, preferring to taste the Thai delicacies. I visited the HardRock Cafe, one of the famous cafe/bar chains in the world. (Incidentally Thailand has two HRCs while India has none..!!) They had many memorabilia such as the guitar played by John Lennon the Beatle and many other things. A very nice experience.
