Dear all,
What the hell is happening to our Society (SL & Indian)??, Our culture, life style, religion is all fading away rapidly, the whole society seems to deeply involved in western style. Take language for example.
Speaking English (Tanglish) has become a fashion, ppl think, speaking a word or two in English makes them Intellectuals, how sad, y don't these ppl have respect for their culture & language.
y r they blindly following the English??, what is so great about the British?, after all , decades ago, they were thick & useless Vi kings, living like pigs in tunnels. sorry guys, I am at no cost degrading the british, but they were like that b4, until the civilisation era!
Why do our ppl, avoid speaking in tamil, my blood boils when ever I hear ppl speak in bloody Tanglish/ English. What i don't understand is I have been in UK for the last 15 years, came here as a child, every day out side of house, I need to speak in English with Non - Tamilians, yet, I am very much fluent in Tamil, speaking and writing , (Ok, except the La & Zha bit :)) ).
But ppl from TN whose mother tongue is tamil, speaks in bloody Tanglish, they think that they are cool, infact, they look like idiots, when they do so.
Look at the extensive use of English in Tamil films today!, every damn song has an english word in it!, y ????
It has been more 55 years, since the british left us, but y are we still in English 'Moham' ???
really disgusting indeed!

Surya means "sun" in Sanskrit, not star. Also, why did you write "a Star", and not "a star"? I think you're motives are pretty clear. Nice try!

Good points, Raghu.
"I am aware we are still in the process of evolution, there will always be evolution, every thing in this universe, will keep on eveolving till the end, if there is an end."
I find that the most amazing aspect of evolution is not how different things are, but the striking similarities. For example, despite the abundance of organisms, every living thing that has ever been (except maybe the Creator himself) is organizally structured in such a way that every protein produced by its cells is composed of just 20 amino acids. And then there are the elements - out of just 96 or so, all matter as we know it is composed.

He does not know Sun is a Star, obviously. May Sun itself does not know. Why should star know?
Vaalmigi Ramayana did not tell much about that. But, it discusses about Ravana's discovery of the aeroplane in which he kidnapped Sita, though.

Of course they are, I can clearly see your overselling smartness in your “stylish” use of the smart words like “fu*K”
Well, you carry on "smartly" shinning like a “Star”; I shall not disturb your consolidation.

raghu,
Not many may agree with me, but language is just a means of communication. I am nto sure, if I have written in this thread before. Even otherwise I now write to stress the point, COMMUNICATION DONE IN ANY LANGUAGE is not a problem.
The basic human culture, irrespective of caste, creed and religion should be to treat other human beings on par and not to degrade, humiliate and disrepect them with any bad ill use of words. THAT IS WHAT IS CULTURE, AND THAT IS WHAT is really disgusting indeed. I need not quote examples, aint not?
:)
So, if we consider that, tell me raghu, HOW MANY ARE HUMAN BEINGS? Then we shall talk about whether we are hindus or Indians, or any ohter nationality.
There lies our beautiful culture and society, amidst, scorns, and jealousy and wrong behaviours.
LEt us try and change that, language problem comes next.

Shakthi,
Unarchi vasapadatheengha :))
>>HOW MANY ARE HUMAN BEINGS?<< the answer is NONE!, I am not talking about religion or caste system here, but I do believe in GOD :), yes I agree with you that Language is just a means of communication!, certainly, but why in our society, only in tamil society, not gujarti's, not punjabhi's, assume, Speaking English makes one intelligent, why do they ill talk about our own language Tamizh & our culture. One MUST respect every other cultures, religions and human beings, but never ever degrade his/her own culture & language!, one who does this becomes a traitor!
Shakthi, I thought u don't have time to reply to emails, but u seem to have plenty of time to post in hub :((
just kiddin:), reply to my mail, when ever u can. thanks

Raghu,
// only in tamil society, not gujarti's, not punjabhi's, assume, Speaking English makes one intelligent //
- i dont think your point right Raghu... just visit threads in tamil history and check with the northy's versions. ( only english speaking people are considered to be a forward - many northy's says )
// why do they ill talk about our own language Tamizh & our culture //
- i dont know where it is happening... but i feel there is a strong reason, had it happened.
thamizians are widely considered to be backward people. ( again you can visit threads in tamil history ) i believe no soul is backward in front of god. but, this society is not filled with gods.
//>>HOW MANY ARE HUMAN BEINGS?<< the answer is NONE!,//
- the readymade answer you have given to Shakti's question is the proof.

Shakthi,
>>(sorry sorry sorry....u c, I am very lazy to reply mails...hehe :)>thamizians are widely considered to be backward people<<, yes, so I hear, but u know what, I am damn proud to be a backward tamilian :))
It is all in one's mind to say that a certain person or ethinic group is backward, it is all according to one's status of mind :)
One question, y do always start your post with :-) and then end it with :-), any particular reasons, :))
