Why are we Indians depending too much on MIC. We cannot blame Dato Samy Veloo for everything. This is because we are are Non-Bumiputras and Non-Muslims. We are a minority group and no matter how hard Dato Samy tries we bound not to succeed. Majority rules the country and decisions are made based on Bumiputras in mind. The Punjabis are doing very well without any strong political representation, So do the Sri Lankan Tamils. Don't keep on harping that we Tamils came as labourers, so we can't progress. It's absolutely not true. The Chinese didn't come as an educated class and look at how progressive they are. The Tamils need representatives in the political arena, but it's not all cure. The Tamils must change their mind set. This can be seen with the way Tamil Schools teachers dedicating their time and energy to educate our kids. This phenomenon never happened before. If this can be done at Tamil Schools , it can also be done in M>I>C

Doing well in life is good. The same applies to all individuals regardless of race/religion but a political party like MIC is a representative of the Indian community in the govt. So anything that affects our rights as citizens could only be brought forward to the govt's attention by MIC.
Apathy is a dangerous illness that could easily beset anyone. Look at the NAACP of the US. You think all their constitutional rights was handed to them on a platter by the White majority? Unless you keep harping on the ills that beset us, we don't stand a fighting chance. For that alone, Samy Vellu has to call it a day and name his successor!!

Speaking of Tamil Schools - Yes, we can certainly do alot. Starting with volunteer work. How many middle-class, English/BM educated Indians are there in Malaysia? If anyone of us could start classes to teach Eng/BM reading/comprehension classes for these kids, you can see a great big improvement in their performance.
The other is school heads/teachers themselves. There is an incredible amount of apathy in many of them. They do not take their jobs seriously enough. Take text bks; how many of them sit down to review and choose suitable books for their classes? If the Ministry's textbk is too steep to be followed by the kids, they should sit down and do adequate trouble-shooting to improve teaching methodology. Find different ways to stimulate their kids instead of the usual chalk and talk!!

I believe in supreme goddess kali..the great loving mother. Those who do bad gets bad..Karma will punish us. Dun ever blame anybody. See, Datuk Samy has also been not lucky...everything is falling back on him..Hospital eaten by Kulat. Overhead and highway is also falling...and i dunno what's next to happen...
