Small village man Hussain offered his real prayers to God the Almighty when he decided to use the public address system to alert the villagers after hearing about the gruesome train accident.If he had not done that, the chances are many more people would have lost their lives and the rescue efforts would have been delayed.
This simple village man took the initiative and used his presence of mind and judgement of the situation and decided that the AAzan can be proclaimed and Namaaz can be offered anytime but God needed his service to save lives.These are the people who make INDIA.AND THIS IS WHY INDIA IS SUCH A GREAT COUNTRY.Please join me in offering my humble salute to this unassuming man.

I think the villagers of vaLLikkunnu and adjoining villages also should receive their due credit. Soon after the accident, the villagers sprang into action, and their timely action restricted the number of lives lost. Many villagers helped the affected passengers out of their meagre resources.
Hats off to my fellow Keralites.

Hemant: I join you in respecting that man as also the villagers that Siby is referring to.
Meanwhile, I have a suggestion. Can you start a online petition to gather email signatures expressing warm wishes to both Musharraf and Vajpayee as they join for a historic meet. For some reasons, I am unable to initiate it myself. I sincerely hope and pray that something really tangible comes out of the intended talks, for we have best (deemed) possible bargainers representing both nations.

That's What Religion Teaches.....
One ought, every day at least,
to hear a little song, read a good poem,
see fine pictures, and, if it were possible,
to speak a few reasonable words.

People are often unreasonable, illogical,
and self-centered;
forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, People may accuse
you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some
false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank,
people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building,
someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.
If you find serenity and happiness,
there may be jealousy;
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today,
people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have,
and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you've got anyway.
You see, in the final analysis,
it is between you and God;
It was never between you and them anyway.
