When you describe moon, how many people describe moon as sphere, I have see many refer to moon as circle.

Thats because thats how it looks to us from here. However in the case of the bible when people claim that it is a word of god it has to be very accurate. Otherwise it was just a concoction by people with their idea of god.

Webster dictionary says, ( exact words as found in the dictionary ) "in a loose sense Circle refers to sphere or round". Again English Bible was translated to English in 17th Century. For the people of that period circle was enough to tell that earth is a sphere.

Exactly, noone in the 17th century thought that the earth was a sphere, therefore it was thought of to be flat. Therefore throw away you 17th century bible and start reading the greek version. Now if you look into this also the problem becomes evident, nowhere does it say that the earth is a sphere (by the way I have not read the greek version, I cannot understand greek either, but I have read the particular lines and read the word for word translation)

now if that is the case and also the fact that the bible was divinely inspired then the translation from one version to another shoudl also not have any errors as, why would god want to mislead people. therefore according to your concept of god even the 17th century bible should be flawless...

Only you are unnecessarily complicating. Circle meant sphere only

RW,
I am praying for you too, however our god is not as selfish as yours and he will help you if you are a good person, eventhough you might not believe in him.... ;)

RW,
I am praying for you too, however our god is not as powerhungry as yours and he will help you if you are a good person, eventhough you might not believe in him.... ;)
