I have seen some god serials .. which sometimes are quite amusing (sorry) . The way they potray hindu gods as a cartoon character. Can't they make it a bit more serious?

  why don't you watch the hindi version like ramayana,mahabharatham,krishna,jai gangga matha,jai lakshmi and om nama chivaya which have tamil version preference.especially if you are a malaysian and if you have installed ASTRO satelite broadcasting system at home you can definately change the hindi dialogues to tamil.

  When malays who can,t understand well arab watch arab serials about islam just sake of religion.Why can,t tamil or malayalee watch hindi serials about hinduism.Watch as hindu serial in hindi language not just as hindi serial.Mahabhrata and ramayana really nice i only watch this 2 serials.

  muniandy, i agree with u, seriels like Soolam, and Velan are kind of silly. Even the Bhakti movies like 'Thaali kaatha kaali amman' and stuff is silly. Why doesn't anyone make quality hindu religious movies like they did in the 70's and 80's. Like Thiruvarull, and Dievam.

  Well, hindi serials are more mature, and talks about origin of god etc...rather than portraying GOD AS A MAGICIAN...or HE MAN!

  Well see tamil religous seriels are like what u said mostly, A bad magician who tries to defeat god, but then sathyameva Jeyathe, god wins. But in HIndi seirels, they take good seirels like Mahabaratha, Chanakya, Ramayana and so on.
