Bin Laden is believed to be involved in the blasts in Newyork and is now hiding in Afghanistan. The Afghan Govt. is not ready to hand over Laden to USA as they feel sufficient evidences are not available with USA. (Whether they hand over him if sufficient evidences are produced, is a different question.) In this situation US decided to attack Afghanistan and replace the pro Laden Govt. in Afghanistan.
India was first among the countries to support the US attack. Almost all Nations are supporting America’s war against Afghanistan (a.k.a. War against terrorism).
Now let us compare this situation with Mumbai blasts and Davood Ibrahim. Indian Govt. have sufficient evidences against Davood but he is living (not hiding) in UAE. UAE Govt. is not ready to hand over him to India. In this context what will be the reaction of America and other world Nations if India decides to attack UAE?
While supporting USA in their war against terrorism, why India cannot ensure the support of USA in return like handing over of criminals hiding or living in Pakistan, Afghan or Gulf counties?

(sorry, it was clinton's slogan when he contested against geroge bush sr.) well, human lives are not counted in international affairs but only economy. bombay blasts, shocked only the people in india and pakistan. common public in the rest of the world may not even aware of it. have you noted not a single reference was made either in cnn or bbc about the bombay serial blasts on september 11, though most people in india and the media drew comparisons between both. similarly almost all the cities in afghanistan are being bombed to dust without any effect on our lives. however, two towers are hit in usa. the stock markets of almost all countries collapsed with the towers. millions around the world lost their job on a single stroke. we are beggars. we cannot be chosers.

  The U.S. has not faced agression on its soil earlier barring the few hours at Pearl Harbour during the early part of the World War. Every battle involving the U.S. after that for the last 50+ yrs has been fought outside their own country.
  
  The general American (even Bush for that matter)is not just ignorant about the geography, history, culture and politics of the outside world, they dont give a damn for any other country. Economic prosperity, relative geographic security and individual freedom have made the country the destination of choice for the ever hopeful immigrant. It has also has made the average American a first rate idiot whose country has somehow managed to run like a machine by the grace of God and the talents of the best brains from among immigrants.
  
  The Superpower status in the post Cold War scenario has made America even more arrogant. America and its media revell in the feeling that any situation can be turned to its advantage. This is thge reason why on the economic front as well as the political front they dictate terms to every country whereas they break rules themselves whenever convenient be WTO, Environment related issues or policing this world. Half the problems in various parts of the world are a direct result of U.S. interference, simply because it would rarely affect them especially because they were separated from most of the world geographically. Even in a recession they had reserves that could possibly sustain much longer than other countries. Today the situation is vastly different. This war will bring America to its knees. It will deplete Americas reserves and put them on the defensive.
  
  Even then this stupid nation will not support India in its anti-terrorism initiatives because they believe its the prerorgative of the U.S. and its white allies and not that of countries such as poor India. So Powells will come and Powells will go. Serfs such as the British Prime Minister Tony Blair and the German Chancellor will come and philosophise and advise India restraint in its war against terrorism. They will play all the games possible without realizing that it will come a full circle and bite their behinds very soon.

  If U.S needs to have any influence in this region, then they would have to support India becoz of India's prominence in the region. India is not only going to be a economic power in the future, it will also be a military power in this region. Already U.S and China are not the best of allies and the only country capable of competing with China in this region is India and if not now, US will surely learn that in the future.

  USA wants to play the role of global cop.To maintain their supermacy over other countries of the world they keep meddling with other countries internal affairs. It is unfortunate that India wich is a peace loving country, founder member of NAM is supporting USA on its crime against innocent civilians in Afghanistan. Gandhiji said " An eye for an eye makes the world blind", i realise the depth his statement only now. I hope countries like India will soon realise that it is wrong to support powerful nations just for personal gains. I beleive TRUTH ALWAYS TRIUMPS.
