No. not at all, its a small group of people concerned with promoting tamil and not allowing the media etc to promote North Indian entertainment only has its been done at the moment. All South African tamils should be supporting them.

S
Tamil and hindhi (language) is now offered in the formal school environment as a subject at primary school level and is available to all races, it is a good thing.
the cinemas started showing movies from the east in certain areas recently and it is a good thing. I know the Zone in Rosebank (jhb) shows a lot of them(all Hindhi) and receives a lot of support from the public.
I have heard that Tamil movies are shown on The big screen mostly in Natal, maybe where there are more tamils. I heard recently that Nu Metro had shown Kanathil Muthiamittal but went of circuit already.
I am aware that there are very few tamil movies showing, What measures will TAG take to change it.
BTW There is a movie called Naalai comming on circuit, (Tamil film, made and edited in South Africa). I am looking foward to this one.

Well, no one is worried about spending money to show hindi movies and
bring them into the country....but everyone has a problem to bring in
good up to date tamil movies into the country.... Hey after all if they
where showing one dull borring hindi movie who will want to watch
it..... that is what is currently happening in South africa at the
moment.... just to keep the tamil community silent they are showing a
rare movie...no one attends due to it not being all too modern cos no
one can actually relate to the movie....and then everyone decides the
reason why tamil movies are not aired at movies is cos of the poor
response.... I have a good example MR MARK CORLETT himself said he is
not prepared to pay a lot of money to bring in tamil movies, but if he
where to get it for free or close to that he will air it.......These
are some of the reasons many tamil people are fighting now to cause any
problems but to try and get our media to offer us the same appreciation
given to the other cultures....but for some reason they keep throwing us
into the corner like a little kid....

You have a pretty name, use it.
Hey my name is here, it is fridge, I have two names in True Natal Tamil style(from my generation) it does not happen anymore,
One home name(also shortened) and one school name,
My home name is too girly and can cause people to treat me in a girly way, so I do not use it, Some people say my school name is linked to a Goddess and if i have all the people praying to me everytime they respond it could really get in the way of communication so I use fridge, Makes life easier:-)

Thanks, am I to guess that you now reside in Gauteng? I am also from KZN. We have quite a few active TAG members in Gauteng as well. if you would like to meet them let us know. anyway to answer your previous question, TAG started the major debate with Lotus FM, hence we now have 50/50 however I do not know how long it will last. yes another organisation took credit for it,but it was our hard work and pressure that did it.
Hey you should be proud of your tamil name, how girlisg can it be :-)
