  On the airplane, I saw some episodes of Tom and Jerry. That cartoon was most certainly a classic. It stands out in creativity and imagination. You can't go wrong with a formula which includes:
  
  1) a cute and loveable mouse
  
  2) a stupid cat
  
  3) a wide array of weapons or ordinary household items which could be used as weapons

  I haven't been impressed by recent cartoons (post-1980s), with some notable exceptions. Powerpuff girls is definitely one of them. My sister went to the same art school that Craig McCracken, the creator of powerpuff girls went. He started the series in the school newspaper as a comic strip called "Whup-Ass Girls" but I guess he changed the name when it became a TV show.
  
  One of my favorite episodes was when Mojo Jojo created the Rowdyruff Boys from Snips and Snails and Puppy Dog Tails (along with Chemical X). I wish there could be more episodes with them.
