Vijay Anand, Censor Board chairman (he quit), says that the nation was ready to snip off the Cinematograph Act of 1952 and replace it with the global code of 'no cuts, only classification.' The new code he envisaged would kowtow the constitutional guarantee of 'freedom of expression' in its totality. So much so, there would be a niche for porn films too.

  Oh please! Please Dont follow the porn / american cinema. We, here in US get /learn nothing from crazy movies. It just shows Our 10 year old waht is GUN, SEX and all those idiot sutff are. these things are for 10 year old? is it good to let them know about sensetive issue at this young age? LOOK here in US life, child sex, gun in schools, crimes, kidnapping...the list goes on ... US is about to END for ITS OWN MISTAKES. Do we want Indian society to be like an american ?!?!?! I dont think so and so that many NRI indians. About porno... indian people have that from other countries. Why one wud want indian gals / cinema / society to be slut? for money ? is it everything ? and in long term that will bring SEX craze just like Britney and all other so called american sluts. and thats abs not good for india. About Censor Code, yeh, it need to be replaced. What this editor called CUT, it actully a protection. And thats why indian society still have that respact that NO OTHER country have. it shud be changed, BUT WITH POSITIVE INDIAN CINMA AND A GOOD FUTURE SOCIETY IN MIND ONLY!

  If you are too sure of the US system being the right one, then I think you should also adopt the system of "boyfriends and girlfriends" , for which there is no age limit in the US. After adopting that system , I am sure: 1. 13 year old girls will be going out with 15 year old boys. 2. 15 years old girls will be free to kiss 17 year old boys. 3. 17 year old indian girls will be having sex with 19 year old boys. 4. and unfortunately some 13 - 15 girls who might be overly mature for there age will be watching the so called "R" rated movies with their 19+ year old boyfriends. I am ashamed on how I could even think all this. But your article just made me think about it. THE PARENTS - CHILDREN RELATION HAVE VERY LITTLE VALUE AFTER 18 YEARS OF AGE. GOVERNMENT TAKES CARE OF SOCIAL EVILS ARISING OUT OF THIS RELATIONSHIP. NUDITY IS SO OBVIOUS AT MANY PLACES THAT ONE STARTS HATING SEX BEFORE REACHING TO SEX-AGE. THERE IS NO CHARM IN GETTING MARRIED AND THEREFORE THEY AVOID MARRIAGE. DIVORCE RATE IS FAST AND VERY HIGH. WOMEN AND CHILDREN FEEL INSECURE AND HAVE AN URGE TO TAKE DRUGS TO GET RID OF THIS. I STRONGLY FEEL THIS IS THE RESULT OF THIS OPENNESS IN SEX & NUDITY. GOVERNMENT POLICY IS RESPONCIBLE FOR SPOILING NEW GENERATION. IF SOMETHING IS EASILY AVAILABLE THEN ONE IS BOUND TO TAKE IT BEFORE ITS MATURITY.
