It become tradition to give big Gifts to son in laws on Deepavali occasions.

If father in laws give on their own, it is fine. But some son in laws and their parents are forcibly getting gifts from their inlaws family. For middle class it is a big headache. What to be done for this? Why are grooms parent not giving anything to their daughter inlaws? Please share your experience and thoughts.

  Thalai Deepavali is one big stupid tradition. Why lots of fuss about this? Except for the girl who gets to visit her parents, it is a big pain for the father-in-law and the maappillai.
