  As I know, according to the scriptures, not only were kshatriyas and vaishyas allowed vedic education, it was said to be their duty to study them. The only people who were denied "vedic" study were the shudras. And even shudras and dalits were not prohibited from any other study. Only the vedas were forbidden for them. Whether it was correct is the next question, the answer might also be "how useful are the vedas?" It is always possible that some brahmins misused these, but, don't tell me that every brahmin did that. It is like saying "every doctor is a fraud because I found a few that are".
  
  There is also a belief now-a-days that brahmins were the richest of the lot. Vaishyas were the business people and kshatriyas ruled the land. So, how could brahmanas be the richest?
  
  In many parts of south India, shudras form the majority. Their number greatly exceeds the number of the others. So, it is not reasonable to say that "they were controlled by cruel oppressors". What strength did brahmins have to oppress them? They had neither numbers nor money power. It seems to be an utter misconception.
  
  Vinodh's argument also seems to convey the meaning that all brahmins were bad and all non brahmins were good. I have come across good and bad people among both of these. Whether you "mistreat" another person depends on whether you are good or bad. I don't see any reason whatsoever to believe that all brahmins "mistreated" all non-brahmins.
  
  "Knowledge is power and we cannot deny it"
  What knowledge did they have? Vaishyas had the business knowledge, shudras knew about agriculture, etc., so what was it that the brahmins knew which made them so powerful? Someone might say "read and write". How far can you go with knowing "abcd..." if you do not know how to run a business or how to grow a plant? And moreover, vaishyas knew how to read and write. And, for all that I know, even many shudras may have known.

  I would like to add "willingness to thoroughly think about something before jumping to conclusions" and "willingness to question what a westerner says".

  Why is it that Dalit leaders queue up with other leaders in front of Jayalalitha to prostrate in front her? Have their self respect deserted them or are Dalit leaders playing playing the game of politics the way it should be played. By keeping Dalits away from progress and pretending to fight for their rights.
  
  After so many years after independence and reservations, if Dalits have not been able emancipation, then something is seriously wrong. The majority of those who have benefitted from this system of reservations have not tried to help their brethren probably. Their leaders wish that their 'FLOCK' remains in the same state without progress. While those who feel oppressed are crying hoarse that they are not getting justice.

  Jesus in the holy Bible says that after him will come many fake prophets who will be so clever and cunning that it will only be possible for real God believing people to find out the difference. He also says that they will come in a sheeps clothing to you and cheat you and thereby prevent you from reaching God almighty.
  
  Mohammad was a fake prophet. There is no doubt about that. He was a schizophrenic guy who thought that he was getting revelations from God.
  
  Muslims say that Mohammad told them that he was the most perfect person ever to be created by God. Can you believe such a nonsense when you see that he married Aisha when she was 6 years old and then started fuc*king her when she was 9 years. Will God almighty sent his most perfect creation or the most complete human being to have sex with a small 9 year old girl clutching a doll when she went to Mohammads bed when she was 9 years old.
  
  Science has proved beyond doubt that the correct age for sex when a girl develops fully is like around 15 or 16 at the least.
  
  In addition to this Mohammad had 11 or 13 wives and among them was a lady who was actually his adopted sons wife and later married to him.
  
  He also has a lot of ladies in his harem. By the way the ladies in his haram were not muslim ladies but rather jewish, christian and pagan ladies who were captured during Mohammad notorious raids on unsuspecting caravans and tribes.
  
  If at all there is a true God who is just and loving to all of humanity then there is no doubt that either Mohammad will be in eternal fire or he must have been punished for his sins to humanity.
