Dear friends,

Once, I met a zealot in a bus stop and she tried to persuade me to convert to Christianity. She said that those who arenot Christians will be burnt eternally in hell fires afterDoomsday. This made me shiver. How could millions of good ,people, including women and tiny children get sent eternally to Hell just becauseof them not beliving in the "right" religion!

Iamnot saying that Iwant to convert. Hinnduism is of course ,greater for many,many reasons and Shivan is not cruel at all. I am just asking for your opinions

Zealots, stay out!

  Alison, you have posted some beautiful answers again. Unmaivil told that we have already given our opinion and the others should post their ideas now. I dont know why we can not post here. I dont understand the people who worship statues. Statues are not living God !! They may be thinking that in the night these statues get life and start walking ! Or they are thinking that one day these statues will become living gods ! They are giving food to these statues thinking they are living ! They are not able to see that the food does not go anywhere !
  We dont have any doubt these statues are made by people. One day I saw that one person smoking beedi was sitting on a big rock and making this statue from stone.
  Alison has said beautifully that one day all the Mecca people will know the true God. We are sending our people carrying a Bible there who are not worried about their life, and who are not afraid to preach the Lord's truth. We will sacrifice our lives to help the Mecca people if it is painful for them to follow us.

  Looks like this is going to take longer than I thought. I am sorry you are not able to see the argument and logic behind the 'Mecca' example. I will get back to you when I have the time.
  
  Until then, take solace in your religion and please.........allow others to do the same......religion is a source of comfort and assurance for many people in this complex world of ours. We should not go around tearing that down.
