i am sick and tired of these idiots. they catch you at barnes and nobles, borders, best buy, etc. all they want from you is your phone number in the first meeting. Then they ask you to become their business partner (one even told me that its an e-business) and ask you to give your friends' phone number. If you give it, thats all. they will call you and harass you ALL THE TIME. You HAVE TO be rude to stop them calling you.
while i pity those telemarketers (who have no other source of income, try to talk to differnt people and eventually hated by everyone), these idiots are mostly educated and working and they just want to become rich by pestering others shamelessly.
i actually know a person who at a party kept on asking everyone for their phone numbers and tryong to catch people. The person who was hosting the party asked him to get out in front of everybody.
now i am actully very cautious and get doubtful if some indian (even if they are not one of these idiots) smiles at me and tries to be friendly with me. now i try to stop these buggers by being rude so that they will learn.

MLM is the greatest industry there is as far as I'm concerned and there's no other business you can do with lower overhead and higher rewards but Amway/Quixtar has done more to hurt the industry than any other company I know of! I also saw the Dateline NBC expose' and thought of many people who have defected from the "cult-like" organizations into my company, glad that they have the freedom and possibilities to make MORE than I do, depending upon their own efforts and dedication. As a matter of fact, I know of one HUGE organization that has recently left that company and come over to the VEMMA business New Vision is about to launch on November 1st! "Drink juice, get two!" MLM looks good on paper - like communism but in the end it is not fair. In a normal "job" you can work your way to the top. Unless you are lucky enough to have got into this biz 20yrs ago then most people are going to struggle to make a decent living out of it. I did this biz recently for over a year... all the big pins stay the same and the rest is churn... PYRAMID, PYRAMID, PYRAMID. You guy's that think it is so great... who's family is suffering at the moment for your riches. Don't say we that don't like the biz can't work hard. I worked my BUTT off in Amway and I work hard in my regular job. YOU GUYS SAY THAT WE SHOULD NOT TALK DOWN ON SCAMWAY BUT IF YOU GUYS CAN BUG US ABOUT IT AT THE SHOPPING CENTRES, AT MCDONALDS, AT COFFEE SHOPS.... ALMOST ANYWHERE - WE HAVE A RIGHT TO FIGHT BACK

I am so happy all of you have shared your thoughts. I am supposed to meet with someone tonite. Yep, met him at a coffee shop (My part time @ Nordstroms). I noticed he had the Rich Dad Poor Dad book wich I have read...I wish I never opened my big mouth. But I met with him and was almost convinced. I think what really got me was the fact that he is a lawyer. Prior I only had friends and peers trying to invite me to these meetings & they were in worse financial standing than I had. Who are they trying to show me how to make $? Anyway this guy almost convinced me. But only 1/272 make an extra $1000/month? Thats really only $750 because you have to buy 250/month of your own product. I'll just stick with my part time job where I earn extra $500 / month free coffee,30% Nordstroms discount, and get to marvel at all the beautifull trophy wives that shop at Nordstroms.

WOW...lots of bitterness here. Turn it to a positive and refer to it as a learning experience. I was in Amway for 5 years, didn't make much didn't lose much then went on to find something else. Now I use Amway to compare versus other forms of MLM. Yes I am 'advertising' here but if you want more info then email james_harland@yahoo.ca (not amway)

I have come across some really silly MLMs in the past (my poor mom falls for every one that comes her way). But I finally signed up "Pre-Paid Legal", I don't really sell it. But I enjoy the product - a lot! It's cheap, and I use it regularly. My point is not to make a sale, but to say that if the product is good, then take advantage of it. You don't have to join to benefit from what these "irritating people" are offering. By the way, lighten up, you'll live longer!

The world of MLM and Network Marketing business isn't strictly limited to Amway/Quixtar. There are close to 1000 companies with these structures, many with sound and ethical leadership and ownership. For anyone who wants to start a business, this is the best way to get in with little down and make an absolute fortune if you are willing to work and learn the systems involved in making the big money. The trick, however, is to catch a company young. And that isn't just with a network marketing company. Being ahead of the explosive growth of any company is key to any investor, whether it be stocks, MLM's, etc. Network Marketing and/or MLM's are quite simply the American dream harnessed into a business system.

I just went to a quickstar meeting and wondered most of the time why they dont mention how you sell products. If it isnt a type of pyramid scheme, then why is their only interest in getting other people to do it. They only used less than 5 minutes of a 2 hour presentation to talk about selling, which is where all of this money is supposed to come from.

Pay us 499.99 and you get 500 bucks worth of junk, and we get 449.99 of your money HA, ha, ha. @#&^% That would be my response. Don't recruit me please. I'd pay 499 to get paid off of a customers monthly bill. Bills that they will pay every month anyway.

I just had someone come over: and since I knew the guy since forever, I decided I'd give him a chance to say what he wanted to say ... I told him to drop by some time, but to never try to convince me of this ever again.
Also, did buddy say "indian"? Highly offensive thing to say: which has nothing to do with nothing. Who cares if he has a wooden leg? Don't make sense to you ... well neither does the fact that "some indian smiling at him" ... who's the idiot now?
