  He acted ina malayalam movie five years back. The name was 'oru yathra mozhi'. There is a song in the movie 'kakkala kannammaa, kanmizhicchu paaramma kannimaanam chondittare...'. I became a fan of his since the day I saw him in that movie.

  This is definitely a tragedy. Sivaji is the only true actor that Tamil cinema has ever produced, now that he is gone, Tamil cinema isn't going to be what it used to be. My condolences to Prabhu and his mourning family.

  Sivaji made every Tamil in the world proud.For his talent was par excellence.It is difficult to see a Tamil movie without the influence of Sivaji in some form even today.I have been fortunate to see him in person and watch more than 200 of his movies.

  Shivaji Ganesan is the University of Arts.
  He got several awards from the world.
  But our Indian Govt. did not recognise him. Few years back only they have given Dhadasaheb Palke Award. But he is more than that of Palke award.
  Our Indian Govt. should introdue in the name of "SHIVAJI GANESAN" Award as the highest award for Art and Culture.
  Now the Indian film history will be rembered as BEFORE SHIVAJI GANESAN'S DEATH AND AFTER SHIVAJI GANESAN'S DEATH.
  CHENNAI FILM INSTITUTE COLLEGE SHOULD BE RENAMED AS SHIVAJI GANESAN FILM INSTITUTE COLLEGE.

  I think we will have to stop crying for sivaji was not awarded national award.It is like A Phd doctorate holder worried for not getting diploma.Our nadigar Thilagam was awarded Asian_african best actor.Why do you bothered about a politically influenced National award.Dr.Rajkumar got DadaSaheb award when PM was from karnataka.NageswaraRao got it when PM was from Andra.Ofcourse they are good actors.That is nothing wrong.But ask them,they would say sivaji is their GURU ,incomparable with them.But sivaji got it after them.Because sivaj don't depend on political honour.French 'Chevalie' was not given by recommentation,after 2 years of research on Nadigar Thilagam's work.
