Hi
I heard a lot about sacred indian dancers - devadasis. I know that devadasis were declined by low, but present now in some temples. I heard also a lots of fantastic things about them - that they are god's wifes, that they dance to vake up their god, and dance for him in nude or half nude ornamented dress. That they dance better then classical stage dancers do. They olso well skilled in sex and their sexual love to god, they can give this devine love to others also. Also know that that they can help other males to receive this love, they are goddesses in sex - is it so. Are devadasi available in India now& Where one can find them?

  Aani a malaylam film star who was a catholic christian converted to hinduism a few years back. She became member of the arya samaj which endorses the equality of all in hindu religion.
  
  There are lots of other foriegners who may not officially convert to Hinduism but accept and follow the philosophies of hinduism under eminent gurus like sankaracharyas and others.
  
  Sonia Gandhi willingly admitted to being a hindu by praying in temples and participating in hindu religious ceremonies.
  
  Mahatma Gandhi, Vivekananda, Matha Amrithanada Mayi, Sai Baba ,the sankaracharyas and scores of other hindu gurus have thousands of converts who help them in spiritual and social work and stress on the equality of all people in hinduism.
  
  One of the most controversial was the closest disciple of Matha Amrithanadnamayi who was a devout muslim and who changed his renegade religion after having a spiritual reawakening. Muslims in Kerala had targeted to kill this guy as he had converted from islam and apostasy in islam means punishment by death. But he was saved on all occasions by the grace of god.
  
  So there are thousands of conversions but they are all spiritual in nature and not like political gimmicks played by muslims and christains by getting money from the middle east or america.

  Devadasis were little girls sold to temples and raped before puberty by priests and wealthier men. It was just a legal form of sexual slavery, where dancing and other holy rituals were nothing compared to the horrendous repeated rapes they had to endure, without complaint. It is very sad to me that this kind of stuff happend to little girls. Doesn't anybody feel compassion about the suffering of those poor souls? I don't care what anybody says, no ten-year old girl is willing to have sex with an old, perverted priest. It's just disgusting to me. Thank God it is on it's way to being a shameful piece of India's history.

  Listen you moron Jane, the sexually active priests are the Roman Catholic priests. Devadasis are not prostitutes. Devadasis were dancers. Here is a better prespective on how hinduism treats women:
