Often our friend Madurai Veeran is very abusive of vedic science. He will pour vitriol on them in any thread, though they have nothing to do wth vedic science. I would like him to come up with his ideas on why he considers them rubbish.
Madurai Veeran:
Let me take up a couple of your favourite hate themes:
You often mention about "mercury ion propelled vimanas". Do you know the name of the treatise in Sanskrit which talks of that? And do you know in which year it was written? And do you know what it says of vimanas? And the author?
You also keep talking of "sulba sutra". Do you know who authored it and when? And the name of the book? And what it deals with? And why you consider sulba sutra a rubbish?
I am expecting pointed answers from you if you ever possess some knowledge on these 2 topics which you often raise.
Once he comes up with his answers, I will take the discussion further from there, throwing light on what the ancient treatises actually say and deal with.

Madurai Veeran,
When you seek the company of conceited charlatans like Karthik and Karthikeyan...
That is how your frightened mind percieves the whole thing. There is no ganging up here. When Madhu comes up with a supremely idiotic statement that Buddha was against Sanskrit, it is a clear case of surface grazing rather than a reflection of his understanding of Buddha .Anybody with an iota of what Buddha actually went through, would reject it straight, which is what Karthik and I did. I go by the contents of the post only!!!
...but go on to claim that they read ThiruMandiram in the original and understood it
Karthikeyan's take was only the passage(s) that you had quoted from thirumanthiram and he has done an adequate job in bringing the essence accross. You have conveniently politicized the whole thing.
....who does not know what he is talking about..
It is going to be a tiresome exercise to compile the invectives you have directed towards Hindu scriptures that you know nothing about. I have clearly eloborated on what I know and wanted to share. Therefore I know what I am talking about. I guess you could not find enough material in my posting to b-a-stardize ,politicize and twist in accordance with your 'higher' agenda.
Madhu should have known what/who Shiva is before passing banal remarks. He will not try to know because it would eventually lead him to the Vedas which is the very thing he has been taught to abuse.
Do not 'use' the Tamil Siddhas to vent your frustration or hatred, the greatness of their works gets diminished substantially. They have had much to say and you would be unpleasantly surprised to note that eventually, non-dualism as suggested in the Upanishads is the highest point in their opinions too. One of them even referred to Shiva as the 'temperory'. Well, that's that.
There is nothing for me to prove here. If other posters are interested, we could delve further into Shaiva-Siddhantha.
