try chinese medicine, they are really helpful, but expensive, where is your friend based?, India?

I don't get migraines frequently. However when I do get the rare one, my head feels like it's splitting in two. I feel like I'm going to die. I hate migraines. Does anyone know the cause of them?

The following reason is only for a normal-healthy person, not for people who have tumour in brain or any other major medical problem:
The main cause is too much stress! The body can take some amount of stress but not too much, especially caused by emotions. Too much anger is one example, especially suppressed anger.
