What do people think of this fantastic proposal made by the new Sri Lankan president.I think it was Bharathi who first wrote about this in one of his songs.I personally feel it would be a fantastic business opportunity and will pave the way for greater collaboration and cooperation between the four South Indian states namely Tamilnadu,Kerala, Andra and Karnataka and the Republic of Sri Lanka.Future genarations would reap the benefits of it.

  Did Ranil come up with this idea? What a joke. He can't seriously consider handing over a decades long war on a platter to Prabhakaran. Building the bridge is not the issue. It's the implications of such a proposal that make the whole thing sound ridiculous. I agree that its something for future generations to enjoy - future generations that are oblivious to the shameful deeds of terrorism.

  Nice idea, but before that we need to have a semblance of peace in the northern parts. We don't want to create an easy access for the LTTE and the Tamil criminal gangs like TLA, DMK, DK etc., to the ever expanding arms and drugs market.
