Subject :- HINDUTVA IS THE CONSEQUENCE !
Dear Sir/Madam,
I was really alarmed when I came accross the article RSS GIVES NRI WOMEN A CRASH COURSE IN HINDUTVA ,in Mumbai Line ,dated 9th Jan 2002.
Prima facilie it appears to be another case of Hindu communalism.But the comments of these Hindu Ladies have a very strong feeling of "Security Threat" from Muslims, who convert, either by brain washing or by Marriage, a lot of Hindu and Sikh Girls, to Islam.
Secularism is a great ideal .But if does not provide security to those of majority faith (Hinduism) then it becomes difficult to sustain.Hinduism by itself cannot inspire fanaticism because it is an "AGGLOMORATION OF DIVERSE FAITHS" of indeginous origin and also does not preach hatered against another faith.
Islamic fanatics,commit a lot greater crimes against humanity and get away with it, as a section of so considered liberal muslims,come up immediately to defend the reputation of their faith.This provides an escape route to those who commit attrocities in the name of Islam.
Behind the recent "progress" of Hindutva is a supressed feeling of History injustice suffered at the hands of Muslims in the past and now, due to their "HEADS I WIN TAILS U LOSE " kind of an attitude. Thankfully the Hindutva is yet to graduate to the level of issuing "FATWAS" and carrying them out.
Unless there is a sense of realism and justice in the secularism we follow , freedom from Islam may be the next freedom struggle for Hindus !
