"Chinese husband runs into mynah trouble"
The woman from Chung Ching in south-west China is reported to have started becoming suspicious of her husband when she noticed distinct changes in the vocabulary of her pet bird upon her return home from a month-long trip.
Instead of its normal chatter, the talkative mynah bird started saying things like "Divorce", "I love you" or "Be patient".

Erle Stanly Gardner's
The case of the perjured parrot. A Perry Mason
mystery had a similar theme.
A man is found murdered in a remore mountain cabin and a talking parrot is found in the murder scene rpeatedly shouting, "Helen, Dont shoot, ahh, why did you shoot me". Ham(ilton) Burger, the DA promptly arrests Helen, who has to be pretty and has to become a client of Perry Mason. When Ham Burger tries to get the parrot's talk into evidence Perry Mason, objects, "The bird has to take an oath, or its testimony is void". Later after some turns, another Helen turns up, and this time Perry Masaon wants the bird talk as evidence. How does he do it?
