  I love the Maha Ganapathi temple alot. My favorite part of it is the poojas and the happy, friendly atmosphere in the temple. Balasubramunia Iyer, our priest, is so nice. I have had many an opportunity to sing bhajans as well as thevaram at the temple. An older lady bestowed me the title of odhuvar.

  Thank you very much for your message. I am happy, you have been confirred with the title Odhuvar. It is really nice to know that you are having opportunity to sing thevaram in the temple. It reminds me of my boyhood days when I had enough chances to listen to Thevaram, Thirupathikam and Thiruvachakam by odhuvars invited from Dharumapuram and Thiruvaduthrai Adheenams for temple processions wherein they will sing through out night. They were having rich tonal control and vast knowledge in music. Being a senior citizen I bless you for happiness and success in every efforts.
