I like Kodaikanal very much .. because of its wonderful climate and flowers .kodai is a gift to TN from nature ..

Kashmir
kemmangundi, and its neighbouring areas (KARnataka)
belur, halebeed (KArnataka)
hampi, badami, (Karnataka, vijayanagara ruins)
ajantha ellora (Aurangabad) (I Wanna go again, I dont remember much cause i was just 10 when i went there)

p.s. I wanna go to rajasthan, I am told the rich culture is too enchanting. Hope i make it soon.
Most of the places I mentioned above except shimla and kashmir are for ppl who love historical places, stone carvings, architecture and the like.

My favourite place is Bikaner Rajasthan. I lived there only for a year. It was not having any public transport except the diesel autorickshaw in those days. (1992).There is a big fort there called JunaGadh which is worth seeing. It is a small quiet town.

Chennai has a special touch to it. There are other cities in TN, but there is somethng special about Chennai. I love it!
